Romantic, luxurious hideaway for two, ensuite shower, wood burner, set in a secluded orchard on a farm in Suffolk, within walking distance to two village pubs. Half hour drive to the Heritage Coast. The Scrumpy Shepherd sits in a private orchard, in an elevated position, enjoying views over the valley. It is difficult to think of a more unique and special place to spend a few days. The beautiful smell of the hand-crafted wood as you enter is the first of many things which will amaze you! The copper piping in the ensuite, the oak kitchen, the superb 'tap lights' in Kilner jars! This hand crafted Shepherd's hut offers pure luxury with a sumptuous double bed, fold out oak table and chairs, hand build oak kitchen area comprising of microwave oven, hob, mini fridge, butler sink, ensuite shower room and a wood burning stove. There are also bicycles available for guests to use, please bring your own safety equipment! Guest have sole use of Scrumpy Shepherd and the private orchard together with access to other areas of the family farm as described on arrival. Please call if you have any questions regarding your stay The Scrumpy Shepherd is in a rural area, surrounded by fields and single track roads. Perfect for a quiet weekend escape, but within a few minutes of some good local pubs. There is a bus service (every hour!) into Ipswich or Framlingham, from the end of the road (5 minute walk) , but please do check the timetables available online. It is a great area for walking and cycling too. The farm offers several other secluded and romantic places to enjoy the sunset over the valley or a picnic down on the meadows bordering the River Deben.
