Butterley Bank Farm - Swift Cottage

Swift Cottage is a new barn conversion attached to our family home. Located on a small holding with horses, dogs and cats. A rural retreat with lovely countryside and amazing views. We are situated near to the Peak District, on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire boarder. Near to Uttoxeter, Ashbourne, Alton Towers and in easy reach of Chatsworth and Dovedale. The area offers a wide range of places to visit and things to do. Swift Cottage is a barn conversion, sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms (one double & two singles), 2 en-suite bathrooms. It offers a living area with full fitted kitchen, dining table, sofa and TV. The downstairs bedroom has two single beds and an en-suite shower room. Please be aware there is a step down into the bedroom. Upstairs is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Heating by combi boiler. South facing front garden with patio area with seating. Additional outside areas to explore, enjoy a walk round the orchard and wildlife pond. Let’s the kids play on the swing or in the tree house. Or sit back and relax enjoying the stunning views. Guests may share access to the orchard and wildlife pond with ourselves and other holiday cottages guests ( 2 cottages on site). We live onsite so will be available for any help and questions you have during your stay. We are in a rural location but not isolated. Croxden is a small hamlet which has the amazing ruins of Croxden Abbey. Hollington offers a couple of local pubs. The village of Denstone (2 1/2 miles), hosts the award winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop & Cafe and a nice pub. Alton Towers is 5 miles away. Alton village offers several pubs and a local shop. Easy reach of Ashbourne, Uttoxeter and Cheadle. All offering cafes, pubs, shops and supermarkets. Well positioned to explore Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Lots of walking and cycling in the area. We recommend guests arrive by car. The nearest bus route is 2 1/2 miles away We’re 10 minutes by taxi from Uttoxeter railway station. Manchester and East Midlands airports are within an hour or less by car. I follow Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process. I clean and sanitise high-tough areas, down to door knobs and light switches. I provide cleaning supplies so you can clean and sanitise should you wish to during your stay.
