A quiet base for exploring the Peaks

Situated on the at the edge of the village of Tideswell in the heart of the Peak District, 'The Hideaway' is a small self contained studio style apartment with its own entrance, in the garden of our home. Within walking distance of all village amenities - including excellent cafes and pubs, and only a short drive from many Peak District beauty spots. The perfect base for cyclists, walkers and couples looking for a short comfortable break offering off road parking for one car. New for October 2020 this cosy studio has been freshly renovated. This studio is light and airy with 4 velux windows in the high ceiling space, allowing for a comfortable mezzanine bed. A clean contemporary shower room and high spec kitchenette (with kettle, toaster, microwave, plug in grill, plug in induction hob and slow cooker) completes this welcoming space. Access to the studio is via 5 steps from the off road parking, a path at the side of our home leads you to the studio which is situated at the rear of our property. As the studio is in our garden we will of course be around and about, however we will leave you to enjoy your stay with as much privacy as we can. We can be on hand to offer any guidance, assistance or ideas for places to visit should you want them. Tideswell is a typically characterful Peak District village. Large enough to boast a restaurant, three pubs (all serving guest ales and food), cafes and shops for all amenities. But small enough to 'get away from it all' with easy access to stunning countryside walks, rides and adventures. The village has all you need, but should you wish to venture further it is only a short drive to many idyllic Peak District beauty spots, towns and villages. Bus routes run through the village, and the train station at Hope can get you further afield to the nearby cities of Manchester and Sheffield. As previously mentioned, the studio is situated at the rear of our property, so we will as a family be coming and going during your stay. We also have a friendly dog (border collie) that will at times be in the garden.
