B&B La Casa dei Prugni 1 + 2

Ours is a typical manor house in the Reggio Emilia countryside. La Casa dei Prugni is a farm that uses the permaculture technique that does not require the use of any chemical fertilizer. All our products are absolutely natural. A quiet place to live a little relaxation immersed in greenery and in the past. During the stay you can use our living rooms all furnished with antique furniture from Emilia. Ours is a late 16th-century country villa of the Mantuan type; a large central corridor, andito, divides the rooms of the living area with two doors overlooking the gardens to the north and south of the house. Until the end of the 18th century, the landowners left the city in these buildings to come to vacation with their family and to check all the phases of the harvest of the agricultural estate, which was then kept directly in the barn of the villa. Restored with the desire to keep the charm of historic houses unchanged, and furnished almost exclusively with antique furniture. The gardens, the orchard and our vegetable garden will give all guests the opportunity to spend hours of leisure reading, walking or resting, swinging under the large walnut trees. Even the animals of our guests, welcome, can relax together with the two dogs and the house cat. At guests' disposal the whole living area, the large central hallway, the hall, the study / library as well as the dining room. From our house you can easily reach Parma, Reggio Emilia, Mantua, Sabbioneta, the abbey of Polirone. Around Boretto and Brescello it is possible to go trekking on the Po river and discover the flavors of these lands. Just 20 minutes away is the new Reggio Emilia high-speed station from which to reach Florence in 1 hour, Milan in 34 minutes, Bologna in 20 and Rome in 2.20.
