Les Chalets du Moulin de Beauchamps (Chalet 2)

Magic of a river stay in a newly refurbished semi-detached 'chalet. YOUR OWN FRONT DOOR and a lock box option for check in. Breakfast is served in the house/gardens OR ‘picnic style’ delivered to your room. [NB.ENSURE WE KNOW YOUR PREFERENCE THE DAY BEFORE]. t' 'Le Moulin-Grill Au Feu de Bois', is next door. So many choices - Granville, Avranches, Villedieu, Coutances, Mont Saint Michel, gorgeous beaches eg Jullouville or walk/cycle or simply relax. Welcome to Beauchamps. Gaynor and John. Chalet 2 has its own private entrance and is semi-detached. It looks directly out onto the river L'Airou. The 'chalets' are separate to the main house and have a garden area directly overlooking the river. They have been completely refurbished to make them comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast is included and Is served in the house, which has been a tannery, a furniture factory and from the 1960s has been a restaurant. At least that is what we found out so far. Guests are welcome to enjoy all of the gardens. Our dogs, 'Arnie' and 'Bruce' are allowed out on to the patio at the rear of the house. We always close the gate behind us to keep them safe and thank you, in advance, for doing the same For our younger guests there Is a table football, board games and a few outside activities. NB: ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHEN OUTSIDE DUE TO THE POND AND RIVER. Guests are welcome to use the grounds and a lounge/social area. We are English speaking and live in the main house, so please don't hesitate to come and see us if you have any questions or need suggestions or advice. If we don't know the answer we will try to find someone who does. We hope that for the time you are with us that this can be your 'home away from home'. We love to welcome our guests, but we have also fitted a ‘key-box’ for the chalet should you need it. We love being able to walk out the door and, within a few minutes, take the dogs along tracks and routes, surrounded by farmland. Granville is also a favourite place of ours, with its port, marina, old town, promenade and modern day facilities and glorious views. We recently enjoyed visiting the 'Christian Dior Museum' and gardens. We also like the bustle of the local market town on market days. It's great being able to 'saveur' the history, experience the seaside, and enjoy the countryside all in the same day if you wish. As well as Le Moulin restaurant we can also recommend the 'formules' from the village boulangerie, which can be an instant picnic on your travels, especially with the great choice of patisseries. We are on the main route between Villedieu and Granville. The A84 is just a short drive and makes it possible to be in Caen or St. Malo in about 1hr. If you wish to visit Jersey there are ferries from Granville. The crossing takes about 1hr and 20 mins. There are lots of hiking and cycle routes. There are regular trains to Paris from Villedieu Les Poeles, (approx. 3 hr journey). The D-Day beaches are also easy to get to (approx. 1 hr drive) and we can thoroughly recommend a visit to the Airborne Museum in St. Mere Eglise. We very much value the opportunities afforded to us by this location.
