This two bed cottage nestles itself in the heart of the picturesque village of Hathersage, overlooked by Stanage Edge in the Peak District. Exposed beams and a large fire place offer a cosy return after a long day in the hills. My family and I live in the village and can be on hand for any questions or issues that you may have. There is no parking at the property due to its central proximity in the village, but free parking can usually be accessed within 100 yards of the property. Hathersage packs a huge amount of facilities into the village, boasting an outdoor heated swimming pool, several pubs and renowed eateries which offer take away options as well as eat in, a chemist, general stores, gift shops and outdoor shops. Incredible views and walks await you, within walking distance from the cottage. A little further afield are Castleton’s Blue John Caverns, Peveril Castle, Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Eyam Hall and Matlock Bath. Bank cottage offers the perfect base to explore this incredible countryside and all it has to offer. Hathersage has a train station which has direct links to Manchester and Sheffield. You can catch the bus to our local towns and villages, Sheffield, Bakewell, Castleton and Hope just a few steps from the front door.
