Chaise and Pair Coach House in the beautiful historic village of Barkway is set in the courtyard of a former 18th century coaching inn and has views to the rear of the open countryside. Accommodation consists of a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, an open plan kitchen and living area. This annex is a newly built self contained flat above open bay garages. It contains quality furnishings, bed linen and towels. The kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment. Living room area contains a table and 4 chairs, L-shaped sofa and a large work space and office chair. There is gas central heating with radiators and is warm and cosy throughout. The bedroom had a comfortable king sized bed and there is space to hang and store clothes. The bathroom has a corner shower and an electric shaver point. WiFi is available for guests. The host lives in the main house across the courtyard and is normally about. Barkway is surrounded by beautiful countryside but within easy reach of the city of Cambridge, the market town of Saffron Walden and Royston. There are many good places to dine within a short distance. Nearby Royston offers good transport links into either Cambridge or London. There are plenty of good walks in the area.
