Tucked away Tawnamoor Barns, 3 imaginatively converted stone barns. Nuthatch, 1 bedroom, open plan living room & kitchen with wood burner. Unique wooden handmade features, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, truly unique barn. Enjoys a private enclosed patio, offering fabulous valley views. Surrounded by peaceful private woodland & fields, accessed via a ½ mile driveway, stunning views, quiet location, lots of wildlife. Situation is as idyllic as it is convenient, central to everywhere in Cornwall. A short 30 minute journey from both North and South coasts, 25 minutes from Eden. The cottages are positioned just beyond the owners’ home in 20 acres of ancient peaceful private woodland, surrounded by a working farm and are accessed via a ½ mile driveway up through the woods. Pheasants, hawks and buzzards may sometimes accompany your drive up through the woods and in the spring a carpet of bluebells cover the ancient woodland. The barns enjoy a delightful position overlooking the Glynn Valley and Lanhydrock Estate, and the barns and the immediate surrounding area were chosen as a film set for Ella’s journey. The countryside is undulating and lightly wooded and thought by some to be the most beautiful in the county. The situation is as idyllic as it is convenient, being central to everywhere in Cornwall, accessible to local amenities and out of the county without miles of winding lanes, but just distant enough from the outside world to be a quiet rural retreat. At the bottom of our drive is Cardinham Woods with many walking and biking trails, including the infamous Bodmin beast. There is also an award winning cafe serving delicious food including the obligatory cream teas. Max one medium to large dog or two small dogs. We supply a bundle of complimentary logs, firelighters, starter wood and coal. Further logs and coal can be purchased from us. All appliances including the heating operate on electricity. We operate a meter reading system, and guests are charged by usage on a nominal subsidised basis. As environmentally aware owners, we operate this system to encourage responsible use by our guests.
