Designed in 'Olde Worlde' rustic styling, the Old Pumphouse sits in the village of Upperhulme near Leek, overlooking the ford, and is situated in private grounds amidst peaceful garden and patio areas. Upperhulme is a beautiful, tiny hamlet set in the heart of the Peak District, 3 miles from the town of Leek in Staffordshire. Just five minutes from the hut you will find The Roaches, a stunning rock formation which draws tens of thousands of walkers, climbers and tourists to the area every year. Rustic-styled shepherd's hut with super comfortable and cosy 4ft double hand crafted bed! Sit down for dinner at the bespoke olive-wood table and enjoy a glass of wine whilst the record-player entertains. In the open-plan hut you will find a kitchenette, with double gas burner, fridge, kettle, toaster and all of the essential pots, pans and tools. On cooler evenings you can enjoy the warmth of the log burning stove, which also doubles up as an over/hob for a truly rustic cooking experience. Adjoining the hut is your own private, hand built wash cabin, with washing sink, toilet and an endless supply of hot water for the gas shower. Outside the shepherd's hut you will find various outdoor seating areas, including the main lawn with BBQ and chiminea and a private raised decking area overlooking the village and ford with a double rocking chair. There are various great country pub options nearby, with the closest being a 2 minute amble from the hut! The small market town of Leek is just 3 miles from the shepherd's hut, with its many independent local businesses, pubs, cafes and shops. For a different experience, the spa town of Buxton is also close by with a lovely scenic drive to get there. Please take extra care on our small, country roads as they are very narrow and you will come across many cyclists, residents and walkers - including children.
