Penobscot Bay View

Our house is on the side of Ragged Mountain with an open view of Penobscot Bay and the islands. We have 1 loft room, full private bath, desk and chair with room for your travel crib or use of our air mattress. The room has comfy twin beds, and a gate at the top of the stairs. A strong railing separates the loft, high enough so the room is not visible. (See photos) We have a young Border Collie/Australian shepherd and two cats. We are an easy drive into Camden & next door to the Snow Bowl. Our living room is a beautiful two story open space. The kitchen is also a large open space. The loft includes twin beds, an easy chair and rocker and a full bathroom. Also in one corner of the loft is my sewing and craft area. Of course, I do not use this space when I have guests, but my supplies are in this corner. We generally expect guests will want to be out during day. In the evening they may use the living room or deck. It is best to discuss plans if they need to be at the house for more extended periods. We do like our guests to arrive by 9 PM unless there are extenuating circumstances. If guests are having travel difficulties, they should call us at (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) to let us know they will be late. It is always helpful to know ahead of time when guests will arrive so we can plan our day accordingly. We welcome little ones if parents bring a travel crib or floor mat. We will be at home throughout your stay. We serve blueberry pancakes and coffee for breakfast which is included in your stay. As I am a writer and photographer, I work at home. We welcome guests to use the deck. In good weather guests are welcome to purchase take-out meals in town and eat on our deck. We provide guests with travel literature about the local area. We live in a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. Our road is privately owned by the three homes on it. Parking in Camden is free, but somewhat limited in the summer. You will need a car to get around as we are three miles from Camden Center. However, if you are flying in on CapeAir, we can pick you up. If we are going to town, we are happy to take you along. Taxi service is available from Camden. *We serve blueberry pancakes with REAL New England Maple Syrup and Coffee for breakfast every morning.*
