The Hideaway in Gibbon

Our cozy industrial home is the perfect hideaway in Gibbon. Located just 1 mile outside of town, you will be close to the local businesses and restaurants. Gibbon is one of the premier towns in the country to watch the Sandhill Cranes migration and is home to one of the largest traveled railways by the Union Pacific. We always want our guests to feel at home when they stay at The Hideaway. Here are some things and information that will help with your stay- The house has a large bedroom with a queen-size bed and a smaller room with a twin bed as well as a pull-out couch in the living room. We provide food and drinks for meals or snacks. The selection varies, please let us know if you have any special requests. The kitchen has a microwave and hot plate and there is a charcoal grill outside. The kitchen does NOT have a stove or oven. We allow pets(please no cats), and an outdoor kennel is available for use. Please let us know if you are traveling with a pet; a $25 pet fee will be requested after booking. Things to note: *The house sits close to Lincoln Highway (Highway 30) and railroad tracks. While it can be noisy at times, most guests do not have an issue. If you are sensitive to noise, we ask that you keep that in mind while booking. * (Hidden by Airbnb) , and other direction apps, often have an issue with the location of The Hideaway and the address. We assure you that the address is correct, according to our county and the surrounding addresses. We provide exact coordinates with your check-in message, if you have a problem with the address, just enter those into your GPS and you will arrive at the house. The house sits on a large piece of land close to the highway. There is plenty of room for parking and large vehicles or trailers. We will be available for calls or emails during your stay and close by if you need assistance. We own our own business close by, so our response will be prompt. Gibbon is a small town, but everyone is welcome! Located south of town sits the Rowe Sanctuary and east hosts one of the most traveled railway switches for the Union Pacific section of the First Transcontinental Railroad. If you head west into Kearney, you will find the Archway Monument, Fort Kearny, Museum of Nebraska Art, local shopping areas, and many local and chain restaurants. The best way to get around in the area is by your vehicle. The Hideaway will comfortably sleep four guests but can accommodate up to five adults. A guest charge will be added for more than four adults staying at The Hideaway. We reserve the right to assume the number of guests staying if we feel there are more adults than the booked amount. Please contact us directly if you plan to have more than five adults staying during your reservation.
