It is centrally located within the best fishing and hunting areas in Northern Minnesota. Resting on over 10,000 acres of lake and 50 Islands makes for some unbeatable fishing. It's isolated location will give visitors that away from the crowds feel yet with direct access to the activities or interests that makes lake front living so enjoyable. You can water ski here, or if requested, rent one of the available fishing boats and catch walleyes, northern pike, crappies on one of the best fisheries around, most can be caught right off the dock. Bring your golf clubs and play at some of the area golf courses. Visitors may also use either the paddle boat or canoe to explore the bay or venture out onto greater Pelican Lake. The cabin features a screened-in veranda that looks out onto the lake providing a comfortable outdoor living space to enjoy your meals, play cards or read a book. Personally, I find the cabin a place where I can kick back and enjoy life's simple pleasures. Where the inherent calming effects of nature can soothe the stresses in our lives and clear the senses. A place to enjoy the company of friends and family. The Superior National Forest and the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area makes this an excellent home base location for visitors interested in exploring Minnesota's Voyagers Country. The area surrounding the cabin offers an ideal habitat for a variety of birds and animals big and small. Visitors are likely to see Bald Eagles, Ospreys, beavers, otters or hear the wolves. Visit the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary and get up close to black bears just minutes away or visit The International Wolf Center or The North American Bear Center in Ely, MN. Amenities include: A queen size bed in one and two twin size beds in the second bedroom. A Futon in living room can fold out into a bed and accommodate 2 additional people. The is also a hide-a-bed on the newly refinished porch. Words cannot describe how wonderful it is to awaken to a sunrise on the lake. Full kitchen; complete dinner ware and cooking utensils.
