Our home whilst well equipped and spacious has a warm and cosy feel. It is close to the major historic towns of Winchester and Salisbury, the New Forest National Park and the south coast beaches. It is just a five minute walk to both the town centre with its 1,000 year old abbey and old market town with the beautiful river Test flowing through it as well as to the local train station with good links to London & Bristol (both c90 mins) and locally to Salisbury & Southampton (both c15 mins). House refurbished in last two years and offers comfort as well as high quality new facilities in kitchen and bathrooms. Please note that bedroom 4 (downstairs) has a sofa bed and more limited storage for clothes etc. Property ONLY available as one entire 40 night letting am Dec 9th to am of Jan 18th and includes the feeding of our friendly cat, Boo, which is why the price has been reduced so much. Romsey is beautiful old market town with Abbey and River Test as key features Aldi and Waitrose supermarkets both within 5-10 minutes walking as is main High Street with a good range of shops including a butcher,baker,greengrocer, chemists, banks with ATMs and a very good Department Store (Bradbeers) Train (5-10 mins walk from house) Direct trains to Southampton including the Southampton Airport stop as well as Bristol, Cardiff,Portsmouth and Salisbury ( London is just over 90 minutes away with one change at either Salisbury or Southampton). Bus (5-10 min walk from house) Regular service to Southampton inc surrounding area and Winchester Parking There is room for two small or medium size cars to park on the front drive and there is guest parking available overnight and Sundays in the Library car park at end of the road We will leave instructions for cooker/washing machine/TV/wifi etc in the house.
