Hastings Retreat, Rural & Stylish Studio apartment
The Bull Pen is a ground floor converted studio apartment with plenty of space. Part of a complex of barn conversions, Hastings Retreat is set in 76 acres of private farmland and woodland with a 3 acre private fishing lake for exclusive use of our guests. There is an allocated parking space right outside but further parking is available if needed. Finished in an Industrial style to compliment the natural conversion the studio has been finished to a high standard with underfloor heating, a large 55” tv and comfortable furnishings. The 2ft 6" single beds can be converted into a King Size bed if preferred and there is also a sofa bed if needed. The Kitchenette has a 2 ring ceramic hob, Microwave oven with built in convection oven and grill for your convenience. There is a Fridge with small freezer compartment, kettle and toaster. All cooking utensils are provided, along with crockery, glasses, an iron and hairdryer. There is a small bathroom that has a small wash basin and small 80cm quadrant shower that may not be suitable for taller or larger adults. The entire ground floor and outside space with picnic table. Surrounding fields and 3 acre Lake. We are here to help during your stay if and when you need us, but otherwise we will leave you to enjoy our peaceful surroundings. There are many walks right from your doorstep and Hicks Lodge Cycle Centre can be accessed directly from Hill Farm where there is cycle hire, safe cycle paths for the entire family and a lovely cafe. Conkers discovery centre is 5 minutes drive as is the lovely historic market town of Ashby de la Zouch. The private lake is well stocked with fish and at the top of the hill you will find “Sunset Bench” the perfect place to share a bottle of wine as the sun goes down. Conveniently located just 5 minutes from Junction 12 of the M42 with easy access to the surrounding cities of Birmingham, Leicester, Derby and Tamworth. There are plenty of rural walking routes straight from our doorstep and a cafe at Hicks Lodge within walking distance but a car is recommended if you want to explore further and visit our local attractions.
