Also four miles away is Llanddwyn Beach with walks and views to Snowdonia, or explore the National Nature Reserve known for birdlife, forest and its marshes and dunes. The National Trust’s Plas Newydd house and gardens is close by and worth a visit. Beaumaris has a castle and pier, offering a selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. The whole of the island boasts watersports, fishing, diving, cycling and walking opportunities.
