Modern, completely refurbished 2 bed 1st floor apartment in quiet cul-de-sac in the commuter town of Washington which is located right in the middle of a triangle covering Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland. After years of travelling, we've come to respect the space an apartment gives you compared to a chain hotel room and we've arranged the flat to offer comfort and simplicity with clean lines - all at a great price and always with the extra things we consider essential but others think of as optional extras. We always leave plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits, breakfast cereal, kitchen roll, salt, pepper and even things like oil and vinegar so you don't have to rush out to buy essentials although with social distancing these days, we no longer leave fresh items. It's a super place with lots of great extras to make your stay comfortable yet at the price of the cheapest budget hotel room plus: We also offer discounts for stays of 4+ nights at any time, we're fully signed up to and implement Covid-19 cleaning procedures so we have a cleaning fee set at £29 to reflect the time, energy, and care we take which added to a low nightly rate means great value for money and the certainty that the flat is always immaculate and safe. There are hard floors throughout except bedrooms which are carpeted so the flat is fine for pets provided they are kept off sofa and beds. There is a good open space park close by for walks too. The flat is owned, cleaned and managed by brother and sister, we don't contract out cleaning or preparation so we know the flat is always ready and well maintained. We operate a moderate cancellation policy to allow pretty good levels of flexibility and of course, you can book a non-refundable stay at a discount too. You'll have the whole apartment with private entrance door. Our guest book is a large world map on the main living room wall and a marker pen and we encourage everyone who stays to sign it! Albany is a lovely location within Washington. The flat is a situated in a quiet, private residential street/cul-de-sac with no through traffic. The A1 motorway is less than a mile away with access to Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle and Washington itself has a major shopping centre and retail park. Free parking outside the flat in a quiet residential street. The main bus station is less than 10 minutes walk with services across the north east and connections to the metro system. A 24 hour fuel station and large Co-op convenience store is 5 minutes walk serving everything from essentials such as bread, milk and wine to Costa Coffee and fresh Donuts. We've installed a Smart TV, Amazon Echo and free unlimited wifi. For coffee lovers, we have a Nespresso machine with a supply of capsules according to your length of stay. We always leave essential items (Salt, pepper, oil, vinegar and biscuits) to make your stay easier. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave and fridge plus kettle, toaster and all the essentials. Beds are new with top quality memory foam mattresses and modern linen. Great bath/shower with instant hot water and a supply of shower gel and shampoo with fresh towels for everyone. Hard floors except in bedrooms so pet friendly.
