Beautiful double room with easy access to Gatwick

Stylish and comfortable double room in Bedford Cottage, a Victorian house with lots of period features, close to Redhill town centre and railway station (5-10 mins walk). This is a family house and you will be sharing with your hosts Katie and Alaster, and our cat Lyra. The room has recently been redecorated to a very high standard, with lots of thoughtful touches with your comfort in mind, including a cosy reading corner, a desk, kettle, refrigerator, hairdryer and clothes steamer. The room is quiet, spacious and bright, with a lovely view out onto the garden. On the walls are colourful paintings by my father, Geoffrey Pimlott. The desk is a perfect spot if you need to work, or you can relax in the comfy reading corner. The shared bathroom is bright and modern and we provide fresh towels and toiletries in your room. The bathroom is cleaned after each use. You will have access to your own room and the shared bathroom. You can also access the garden by arrangement with your hosts. Redhill is well served with transport links to London, Gatwick and the south coast. The town also has easy access to the North Downs Way and the Surrey Hills, with stunning walks in easy reach. We are very happy to give you advice on local transport, and tips for sightseeing in London and also the surrounding area. Redhill itself is a commuter town, but there is plenty to do and see within easy reach, including some lovely local walks. Bedford Cottage is on a very quiet residential street in a conservation area, but close to the town centre and all the amenities. Redhill is a commuter town, half an hour from London by train, a mile from the historic market town of Reigate, and close to the beautiful Surrey Hills. We are less than 10 mins from Redhill station with excellent transport links to London, Gatwick and the south coast. Free parking is available on the street, but it can be busy at peak times. During lockdown, we have been working very hard to ensure that we are able to comply with government guidelines and Airbnb cleaning protocols. We have implemented a rigorous cleaning regime, and we are actively seeking ways to ensure that we have taken all reasonable steps to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19. In accordance with Airbnb's policies, we ask that you wear a mask when interacting with your hosts, and maintain social distance from of 2m whenever possible. We will do the same. A kettle with tea, coffee and bottled water will be available in your room. Milk (or non-dairy alternative) can be provided on request, and there is a small fridge in the room. Sadly, we are no longer able to offer our usual help-yourself-breakfast or access to the kitchen, but we can provide details of local cafes, restaurants and takeaways.
