Stylish house on private island with private beach

The yellow cottage is a cute little house with boutique interior with two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Ocean view from both sides of the house, perfect for breakfast in the sunrise and dinner in the sunset. Private location from the other houses. It is the perfect stay for couples, family or friends. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities. One minute walk from private beach. The islands name is Koholmen and the distance from Stockholm is 45 minutes. We will pick you up with boat on the mainland and the boat ride is just two minutes. When you arrive our host will inform you of everything you need to know during your stay, but be sure to read the information before arrival. The adress for pick up is Bammarbodavägen 131. You will park by the t-shaped wooden pier. If you come with bus you go to Åkersberga centrum and take bus nr 620 to bammarboda vägskäl. If you come from Stockholm and you dont have a car You can take a ferry from Strömkajen in central Stockholm and go to Stora Timrarö where we will pick you up. We give you two rides with the boat one when you get here and one when you leave. One pickup transfer for your group is included both ways and you all go at the same time. If anyone arrives later: additional trips to and from the mainland is charged 450 SEK/roundtrip. Once you are here you can rent a small motorboat (500 SEK/day) to go on trips and maybe visit Ljusterö to have dinner at one of their restaurants. Lifejackets are included. We charge 600 SEK for a roundtrip to Ljusterö. There are no stores on the island so you have to bring all the food, hygien articles you need before getting to the island. If you want we can make you breakfast in the morning with newly baked bread and much more. If you want to book breakfast make sure to tell us one week before your arrival. Or you can bring your own breakfast. Towel and sheets can be rented for the cost of 170kr/person and the breakfast feed is 110kr/person. Barbeque is only allowed when there are no danger of fire and the grill will be placed out if it is ok to barbeque. The island is 1km long with a lot of beautiful beaches, cliffs and nice walk paths along the water, find your favorite place and enjoy life! Some activities are available for rent such as zip-line, sauna, kayak, gym, and motorboat if you want to go to the mainland or a restaurant on the islands nearby. We have been doing a environment work here on the island for 22 years and you will be apart of that. We are very carefull about the environment so make sure you recycle your trash. When you leave the island make sure to bring with you the glass and plastic. Smoking is not allowed in the houses. All prices include VAT. Ni shoes inside No wi-fi talk to each other instead :) The island will be manned the entire time but will only provide with the welcome information, breakfast if wanted. You will get a phone number to the host if you want to rent a activity or if there is an emergency. You may see us come by to make sure everything is alright. If you want to make a trip to another island or the mainland you can rent a little motor boat. Or we can give you a ride with our boat for the cost of 250kr. Here are some recommendations to visit. On Ljusterö you can enjoy several restaurants. WIRA BRUK in Roslagen is a charming idyll that welcomes visitors all year round. A former ironworks site still in use today, with well-preserved forges and red cottages alongside the lively River Wiraån. Step inside the untouched forges, visit the former inspector’s house, Inspectorbostaden, which sells and displays decorative wrought ironwork; Wira Restaurant in the old court house, Tingshuset; and Wira Bruk’s museum in the alderman’s cottage, Åldermansstugan. We warmly recommend going on the guided tour of the area’s history. Don’t miss the musical play, Wira-spelen, performed in the amphitheatre on the meadow Isaks Äng in early July each year. In Advent, Wira creates a wonderful Christmas atmosphere, and sometimes a Christmas market is held here. On a sunny winter day in February or a day with nature’s rich palette of autumn colours, Wira can be completely magical. One thing we can truly recommend is our nature lounge on the island. It is located on a big cliff with view over the ocean. There 25 hammocks hanging in the trees and it is the perfect place to relax and just enjoy the nature and the sunset. Ways to get to the island. By car or taxi to Bammarboda vägen 131 in Åkersberga and you will get picked up by us with the boat. Car or taxi to Skeppsdals brygga in Åkersberga. If you have a bout yourself we have docks on the island where you can dock. Contact us before arrival and we will direct you. Just across the island on the mainland you can take the buss to Åkersberga in just 15 minutes. From there you can take the train to Stockholm in just 35 minutes.
