Christmas Cottage is a unique, grade II listed quirky cottage, situated in the heart of Addingham village, Ilkley. It is set over three floors, brimming with colourful unique decor. Cosy evenings by the wood burner are a must. Enchanted, romantic cottage ensuring unforgettable memories. The property is located in the centre of the village. All local amenities are within short walking distance from the cottage, including, shops, pubs, cafes, public transport & walks in the Yorkshire dales. Christmas Cottage has a spacious dining kitchen located on the ground floor with a cosy wood burner for chillier evenings. In this relaxing family space there is a large TV with free view, a microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and tea/coffee facilities. We offer free complimentary wifi for guests and central heating throughout the property. On the middle floor Christmas Cottage boasts a comfortable lounge with SMART TV and sofa, which can convert to an additional bed (linen can be provided for this on request, at an additional charge). The bathroom is also located on this level. On the top floor hosts the master double bedroom with walk in robe and a twin room with single beds, wardrobe and velux window. All rooms are included in the cost of your stay and you are welcome to use everything at the cottage. Your hosts Clare & Sam are available via email or phone should you have any questions or queries relating to Christmas Cottage or just need advice on the area etc. We also appreciate that guest enjoy their privacy, whilst on holiday so we will leave you to enjoy your time at our cottage. In Addingham village you will always find a friendly face should you need directions or information. Parking is right outside the front door of the cottage with additional parking in the Memorial Hall , right next door if that space is occupied. There is a doctors and dentist surgery within a short walk in the village should an emergency arise. The famous Ilkley Moor, which inspired the old folk song "On Ilkla Moor Baht 'at", is only a five minute drive way. Ilkley town offers a wide range of shopping opportunities from fabulous boutiques, crafts, bars and restaurants (including the famous Betty's Tea Rooms). Addingham village has plenty to offer with a local deli, 5 pubs with options from live bands, pub grub to a la carte offerings. There is also a fantastic sandwich shop, hardware & gift store, Indian takeaway and of course Addingham's tasty fish and chip shop. Public transport is right outside the door, travelling to Skipton, Ilkley, Otley, Leeds and there is a small bus to Bolton Abbey if you fancy tea and cake at the Strid or just a lovely walk by the famous abbey. The River Wharfe is a ten minute walk from the cottage. We are blessed with an abundance of great walks in the area for any level of fitness or interest. Addingham is located on the boundary of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, providing guests with an inexhaustible list of places to visit.
