Le Trou Normand is our lovely 2 bedroom gîte which nestles between Le Petit Bijou and the indoor swimming pool. It is a perfect getaway for 2 couples or a family of four. Le Trou Normand literally translated means "The Norman Hole"!! If you want to understand more about what a Trou Normand really is, then come and stay with us and we'll be delighted to explain and even make a real one for you - they are delicious! Le Trou is a delightful two-bedroom, one-bathroom gite and sleeps 4 people. Bedroom 1 has a comfortable double bed, wardrobe & dressing table. It is really light and airy and has the added bonus of a full-length dormer window and lovely exposed beams. Bedroom 2 has two snuggly single beds. It also has a wardrobe, dressing table and exposed beams. The views across the Norman landscape from the window are spectacular. The bathroom is light, bright and clean. It has a bath with shower, WC and a modern rectangular sink. It is tastefully decorated with contemporary blue and white tiles. We have retained the best of the original features of what was once a stable - exposed stone walls and oak beams. In the lounge area, you will find a stone fireplace and insert log burner, two comfortable sofas, TV and DVD player. Free WiFi is also available. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob and extractor fan. You will also find a dishwasher, fridge and freezer and plenty of storage space. Access to a private deck area complete with barbecue and table & chairs is via the kitchen door making it easy for those leisurely al fresco meals on balmy summer nights. Le Trou Normand also has a private garden - perfect for relaxing or perhaps playing boules, Mølkky or a spot of badminton. We bought our wonderful home in 2000 and we used it as a holiday home for 10 years before deciding to move to France permanently in 2010. We fell head over heels in love with the area, the scenery, the people, the food, the lifestyle and we haven't regretted our decision for a single second. We love what we do! Simon's background is in IT and telecommunications - he's an engineer by trade and can turn his hand to anything! Lynne's background is in HR so naturally, she has a real affinity with people. She also teaches English to French business people. We've worked hard to renovate our beautiful gîtes. We have maintained the existing features whilst at the same time creating a luxury and modern feel. Our aim is for you to have a perfect holiday and to relax from the moment you get here. We'll be waiting to welcome you with a glass of something chilled and we are delighted to offer you a welcome basket with some of the basics to get you going. We live on site so are available if you need us. However, we fully respect your privacy, and we always say “we are here if you need us and not if you don't” We very much look forward to welcoming you soon!
