'Young' accommodation, nice and tidy. It is located 24 km from the well-known resort of Alghero. You can reach the fabulous sea of Poglina (Riviera del Corallo, - direction Bosa - in 15 minutes by car or by bus). The house is located in the town center, is terraced and with an independent entrance: definable as a typical house. It also has a parking space in front of the house (public but allowed). It is spread over TWO floors plus the mezzanine (on the latter there is the sleeping area with comfortable double bed). A small terrace-like outdoor space in front of the entrance door allows you to lay and sit outdoors in absolute tranquility. The apartment is fully equipped for the kitchen and beyond. Also with hairdryer, iron, TV, fan-air conditioning and washing machine. It can best accommodate TWO people (but also one person). The masonry staircase that leads from the ground floor to the first floor is very short. On the first floor there is also the bathroom with built-in shower and washing machine; in the remaining space, outside the bathroom, there is a wardrobe, plus another small piece of furniture and a window, from here a comfortable wrought iron staircase leads to the mezzanine where there is the double bed with 2 small bedside tables, shelves, fan stem and television. The house is located in the center of the village, in the ancient village, at the bottom of a road with no vehicular outlet, therefore in a silent and very peaceful context. You arrive in front of the house by car and there you can leave it parked. Villanova M. is in the hills, 500 meters away. altitude but in 15 MINUTES by car, or by bus, you can reach the splendid golden sand beach with coral fragments (in that sea there is a coral reef) of POGLINA, also called 'La SPERANZA' (portrayed in photo) located on the Alghero-Bosa coast road. This is the sea of Villanova whose municipality extends from the hill where the town is located to the sea. Immediately in front of that sea there is a large parking lot. The town is 24 km from ALGHERO where there is the FERTILIA AIRPORT, from here the BUS leaves every hour to take you to Alghero center; from Porto Torres, arriving by ship, there are 60 km. There are many renowned places to reach for day trips: Stintino, Santa Teresa, Castelsardo, Bosa Marina, Alghero, the Maddalena Archipelago National Park, the Asinara island - former prison - and much more ... A short distance from the house there is a restaurant-trattoria which, at low prices, also performs a takeaway service with home delivery. In via Nazionale, three minutes walk from the house, there is the shop from "JERRY" which I recommend for the excellent local cheeses, zero km vegetables and much more ... In the immediate vicinity of the house (on the square of the headquarters of the CARABINIERI) there is the bus stop that allows you to go to the sea, or to other places, without using the car. In the village there are shops for every need, as well as a small municipal market, as well as all public services: bank, post office, pharmacy, Carabinieri, hairdresser, beautician, babysitter, medical guard. Villanova Monteleone is full of good spring water (there is a basket in the house to collect it, you CAN'T buy it!).During the summer, parties, festivals, dances with Sardinian costumes and characteristic processions take place in the village, especially in the evening. But Villanova Monteleone does not cease to amaze: it is close, 8 km from the town, to the lake of TEMO. And still there are to see the archaeological sites in the area (Pottu CODINO and NURAGHE APPIU). Villanova is also one of the major regional breeding centers for Anglo-Arab-Sardinian horses, used for equestrian sports. To crown the town, there is Mount MINERVA, here we recommend excursions to discover the natural beauty of the place also rich in springs. In the village there is also an ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM, very interesting to see!
