My cosy character cottage is a 17th century Grade II listed property situated in the quintessential village of Southrop. In an area of outstanding natural beauty, a delightful Cotswold village very near to Burford and Bibury. The cottage is within walking distance of Thyme with its cookery school, restaurant, spa and the amazing pub The Swan which serves excellent food and drink. Perfect for a weekend break or longer stay, to completely unwind and enjoy what the Cotswolds has to offer. The cottage is spacious and welcoming. It has original beams and an open fireplace with a wood burner. Exquisite new beds, a new shower room and kitchen. The kitchen/dining room looks out on to a very large garden which is lawned and private. The kitchen table will seat six, and looks out onto the large private garden. This cottage is where you can relax or spend a more active time. Use of the private rear garden. The entrance is at the front of the cottage. A real sun trap! Available by phone and text. Southrop is a a good location for sightseeing, recreation, dining and getting around. Within walking distance of Thyme which has a cookery school, spa and restaurant. The Swan pub is also just down the road. Yet to reopen. There is also The Victoria Inn gastro pub within walking distance. Best to book table if you want to eat out. Burford is about 10 mins away. Bibury and Bourton on the Water is not far. All in all a lovely cottage with lots of Character. There is parking outside the cottage. The village is very flat with no hills. There is a village bus which takes you around the area every hour. The nearest railway station is Swindon which is a 25 minute taxi ride. The area is perfect for walking and bike riding. Bikes can be stored at the back of the property. There is parking directly outside the cottage to drop of your luggage. Then parking is in the village hall car park, which is one minute away.
