Set on the southern Derwent valley on the edge of the Peak District on the Midshires way. This cosy but well proportioned 3 bedroom chalet is a walkers and bikers paradise with numerous walks and trails on the doorstep. Set in its own walled garden, located on a popular campsite and working farm, with access to shop and launderette. Convenient for many great days out in the Peak District, including Matlock Bath, Height of Abraham, Gullivers Kingdom, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. The chalet offers an open plan lounge with a wood burning stove , kitchen diner, 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 double, x2 singles). The single bedroom leads into the double. A well equipped newly fitted kitchen, with a fridge freezer, gas cooker and microwave over. Bathroom includes a bath and overhead shower, W.C. and washbasin. New carpets and Wifi has been installed for 2021. Amazon Fire TV Stick which provides access to Netflix, BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Prime Video, Now, Disney+, ITV Hub, All 4, My5 and more. Please note that own log-ins may apply. Please note that when the caravan site closes at the end of October, we switch to our 'winter drive' which isn't a tarmac road. The laundry room and shop will also be closed until the next season next March. Although the chalet sleeps 6, due to the layout of the chalet we recommend that it is best for families and therefore kindly ask that no bookings are made for more than 4 adults at one time. We also have a maximum limit of 2 dogs. Please park on the grass just at the side of the chalet. My daughter and I live close to the chalet and will be contactable throughout your stay. Local nearby towns include Wirksworth, famed for the September Art Trail, Matlock, Belper, and Ashbourne. Alton Towers 40 minutes away. Supermarkets: Wirksworth (5 mins) - Turn right from the drive - Ken’s Minimarket, Co-Op Matlock Bath (10mins) Matlock (15mins) - Sainsbury’s Belper (15mins) - Aldi, Morrisons Bakewell (30 mins) A walking map will be provided at the chalet. Closest station: Whatstandwell Train Station Bus stop: High Peak Junction - 15 minute walk. When the caravan site is open (March-Oct) there will be a shop on site. The opening hours are: Mon - Thurs: 9:00 - 19:00 Fri: 9:00 - 21:00 Sat: 8.30 - 21:00 Sun: 8:30 - 19:00
