The Barn

The Barn is a private studio with beautiful uninterrupted views over the Chiltern Hills in Hertfordshire in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Close to the market town of Berkhamsted (2 miles), The Barn is the perfect location to stay to explore the beautiful surrounding area and attractions such as the Ashridge Estate, Tring Park the Ridgeway. There are beautiful footpaths with direct access from the property, where you can walk for miles enjoying the stunning countryside. The Barn is a beautifully furnished large space located within private paddocks with uninterrupted views of the countryside. The Barn has its own private entrance and is completely separate from the main house which is a few yards away. Inside there is a very comfortable double bed. One sofa and armchair where you can relax and watch the 42” TV with Sky package. The Barn has its own WiFi. It is equipped with all the essentials such as kettle, toaster, fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom has a very large walk in power shower and heated towel rail. The Barn has central heating throughout. There is a small balcony with table and chairs where guests can enjoy the stunning views with no neighbours in site. Guests will be able to park in a separate access from the main house. The stables are next door to the access and guests are welcome to visit the horses if they would like too. We would discourage guests from walking through the garden of the main house. I am available to meet guests and settle them into The Barn and am flexible on check in and check out times. The Barn is located approximately 2 miles from Berkhamsted on a country lane. The village of Wigginton is very nearby and has a lovely community cafe/shop which serves coffee, breakfast and lunches, it also has fresh bread and all the essentials in the shop. Berkhamsted is a busy, charming town with many bars, cafes and restaurants and shops. Also nearby are Tring, Amersham and Chesham. Nearby there are two local pubs, The Full Moon and The Greyhound both within a walking distance of approx 30 mins, the both serve local beers and great food. The impressive Champneys Health Resort is situated just around the corner from The Barn and is a 10 minute walk away. Other places of interest nearby are the Ridgeway for walkers and also Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. A twenty minute drive away is the Harry Potter Studios which is a very popular day out. Take the opportunity to head into London by train from Tring or Berkhamsted stations which are both ten minutes away. There is plenty of parking. The train takes you in thirty minutes direct to Euston station and also goes direct to the brilliant Westfield shopping centre. Trains from Berkhamsted and Tring run every 15/20 minutes to London Euston with a travel time of 35 minutes. A local taxi service is also available 24/7. The Barn is equipped with free Wifi and also Sky Tv with a complete package of movies and entertainment free to guests. There is also a DVD player provided.
