Welcome in 't Notenboomhuisje

’t Notenboomhuisje is situated at the Kalkense Meersen, an extensive conservatory area with a rich nature and beautiful and rare birds. Discover the tranquility and beauty of nature by means of the many walk/bike trails. Stay in this cozy cottage at a payable price for a weekend, a midweek, a week or a longer period. ‘t Notenboomhuisje is situated in the middel of East-Flanders, in the triangle Ghent-Antwerp-Brussels, 15 km from Ghent. You stay in a renovated milkhouse of a 19th century farmstead. The house (40 m²) is situated under a big walnut tree which adorns the spacious garden. Basic comfort is available. The house is equipped with a kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, a bathroom with shower, separated toilet, central heating, internet and television. 't Notenboomhuisje is a licensed accommodation according to the Belgian law and has 3 stars. In the house there is a mezzanine which is accessible with a special stairway with two single beds (90x200) that can be put together. Downstairs the seat can be converted into a double bed (150x200). A cot and a chair for children can be rented (3 euro / piece). Sheets and towels can also be obtained (7 euro/person and 4 euro/person respectively), The private sauna can be rented for 40 euro (3 hours, towels included) and the jacuzzi for 35 euro (per turn). If you want to use both together, the price is 70 euro. At certain days, we can provide you with a breakfast for 15 euro per person. Ask for availibility. Additional wishes (towels, sheets, sauna, jacuzzi, breakfast) need to be paid cash during your stay. There is a private parking place which can be used for free. Bicycles can be stored covered. You can enjoy the spacious garden and pick the apples, nuts, strawberries or other vegetables and herbs which are growing by the season. You can always contact us during your stay. We are living next door, so in case of questions or problems, don't hesitate to knock on our door. The highway E17 (Kortrijk-Antwerp) and the E40 (coast-Brussels) are both located about 7 km of the cottage. The nearest train station is Wetteren which is 5 km from 't Notenboomhuisje and Beervelde (7km). There is a bus station located 50m from the house. Because 't Notenboomhuisje is a registered accomodation, we are obligated to be aware of the identity of our guest. So please leave us your address for administrative purposes. The mezzanine is just underneath the roof and can not be locked, so space and privacy are limited. If you like you can bring your own sheets and towels, but you can rent them at our place as well. Sheets can be rented for 7 euro per person and towels for 4 euro per person per week. The private sauna can be rented for 40 euro (3 hours, towels included) and the jacuzzi for 35 euro. Additional rental prices will have to be paid cash on arrival.
