Fairy lights are provided inside and outside the tipi to find your way and make your stay feel safe and comfy. A parking space is provided in the entrance of our nearby field, with a short walk along a footpath, that runs through our land, to the private entrance glamping field. We will meet you with our tractor and trailer for you to load your belongings into straight from your car, and we will transport them straight to the tipi's for you. If you require more than one parking space per tipi, please advise us in advance. You'll need a car to get around the area, however once here there are plenty of walking, cycling routes and bridlepaths to explore. We have stunning nearby forestry commission routes, walking pub tours and countryside walks. There are two shops and two pubs within walking distance We ask guests to arrive from 3pm within daylight hours, so that we can meet you, show you the site, parking and give you an introduction to Tipi living, help light fires if needed etc before it get's dark. We are a remote countryside location with no street lighting so you will spend your time immersed in nature. Parking is a short walk from the Tipi's and we will load your gear on to trolleys and cart it to the Tipi for you (same on checkout), you will walk along a woodland footpath to access the Tipi. The West Sussex countryside here is a bit of a hidden gem and the perfect place to escape it all and get back to wild living. The Tipi's are located in our Alpaca field behind our home, the Alpacas will be nearby or in the next field and you are welcome to feed them daily. We are located at the very end of a long stone track, over a single track river bridge and the field is nestled next to the Wey & Arun Canal, and a meca of footpaths and bridleways, perfect for cycling and walking. Straight along the canal and within easy walking/cycling distance are two very good local pubs with stunning views and cracking gardens (The Onslow, Loxwood and The Sir Roger Tichbourne, Alfold Bars). There is a circular walking route if you want to visit both in a day! The village of Ifold, Plaistow, Kirdford and Loxwood all have excellent local, well stocked shops and tea rooms. Loxwood has an award-winning Butcher John Murrays which is well worth a visit to get items for cooking on your BBQ grill. At the Wey & Arun Canal centre at Loxwood (20 mins walk) you can kayak and SUP for a daily fee, along with canal boat trips. Driving here for glamping is easiest by car, although cycling or walking here is entirely possible for the more adventurous. A spaces for your car is provided in our nearby field, so you can easily get in and out by car for seaside trips to the South Coast or days out to the many nearby attractions, South Downs Way, National Trust Gardens and beautiful Sussex and Surrey towns and villages. It is a short woodland walk along the footpath to and from the cars to the Tipi's, so we advise you to bring torches. Our family home is next door to the glamping field. We have a large Newfoundland dog, who loves the outdoors and is in our secure garden, you will probably see and hear him, he is very friendly, young and a real silly gentle, playful giant. The Alpaca's may be grazing on the other side of the sectioned off field near to the tipi's, they are very friendly. You can join us to feed them each afternoon. We also have Dragonfly Lodge, a self-contained one-bedroom holiday let (perfect if you want to stay here with family members who prefer solid walls!). We ask you to be respectful of noise for us, our neighbours and our guests in Dragonfly Lodge throughout your stay. It's very peaceful here and we like to try and keep it so, however we have young children and a dog so are realistic about everyday noise and having fun!
