Shepherd's Cottage, rural retreat - twin bedroom
The cottage is close to Salisbury, and yet set in the middle of rural countryside, with walks on the doorstep. It is 1/4 of a mile from the nearest neighbours. There is a large friendly kitchen, with rayburn in the winter to keep it cosy, and whilst sitting at the kitchen table, having tea/coffee/beer/wine/breakfast/supper you will see wildlife: pheasants, rabbits, hares, deer, and of course bird-life. And sitting room with log fire. Note: With corona virus, I would kindly ask guests to wear face-masks on arrival in the kitchen, and to wash their hands, and socially distance. Apart from your own bedroom, you are welcome to be in the kitchen whenever you wish, and that is where I hope you feel free to help yourselves/make yourselves tea and coffee, whenever you wish. There is also the sitting room with open log fire. However, please note that this bedroom, with two single beds, has zilch storage space. There is a small cabinet between the beds. Plus one small table, a chair and an old fashioned shaving mirror, with has a stand with a circular "shelf", with a round mirror above it, so I guess it would be good for make-up. The only space for storage, is maybe to put your suitcases under the beds. There is a double hook on the back of the door for coat-hangers. Also, although I hope I will be here to welcome you, there is a very small outside chance that I may be away, in which case, you will be welcomed by my son, or another hostess, to make sure you feel totally at home. Should no-one else be in the double room, then the bathroom with be private for you. As long as I am here, which is 95%, I will be here to make sure that you are comfortable and to help with anything I can. There is no public transport near the cottage. Your own car is essential. This is a smoking friendly cottage, although please no smoking in bedrooms or bathrooms. I have a well behaved black labrador dog, although she is not good with small dogs. Should you wish to bring your dogs with you, I would charge £8 a night.
