This listing is categorically not suitable for groups of singles. Our new cottage has recently been completed. It has stunning views across Kent, situated down a quiet farm lane with no other houses in sight. We are 10 mins from the centre of Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Paddock Wood. It is incredibly cosy with underfloor heating throughout, it is also totally eco friendly. There is an electric car charger for those arriving inelectric cars (£15/night or £25/day charge)payable before charging. The cottage is suitable for couples or a family not groups of singles. Dogs are welcome with prior consent. The floor mattress is a single fold up. The cottage has its own terrace with table. There is a utility room next door with washing machine and tumble dryer and space for boots and coats. It is located on a footpath so great for walking with 2 woods encircling us. The garden has open access on to a farm road so dogs need to be attended at all times. There are also lots of cycling paths for cycling. There is one dedicated parking space for the cottage but room beside it for further cars. Guests can use the garden which includes a unique fruit garden with peaches, apricots, pears, figs and many other fruits. Please note there is a private covered swimming pool in the garden for family use only, this is not available for guests to use, so children would need to be supervised at all times in the garden. We are happy to chat to guests about where to go, we are beside 2 woods with multiple trails so it is ideal for walkers. There are so many local places to visit that it would be impossible to list them all. The historic towns of Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks are very close by. There are numerous Historic houses and gardens in the area so there is plenty to do and see. We both work but are sociable and happy to interact, we have both lived in the area for most of our lives so have built up a wealth of knowledge of the area which we are happy to share with our guests. The cottage is located in the middle of nowhere yet just a few minutes drive to the village of Pembury and then on to Tunbridge Wells. It is incredibly quiet and at night you will hear owls and foxes as well as plenty of bird life. There are a pair of buzzards living in the next field and a farmyard at the bottom of the drive which allows visits. A car is a necessity but the trains from Tonbridge are excellent for visits to London in 35 minutes. The nearest supermarkets are about 10 minutes drive away. The nearest station is 10 minutes away, Paddock Wood with frequent trains to London. Tonbridge station is about 15 minutes drive with even more frequent trains to London. We are on a public footpath so multiple walks from the house. There is a covered private swimming pool for family use only in the garden , this is not available for guests to use, so children will need supervision in the garden at all times. Those bringing dogs should be aware there is open access to a farm road so you need to supervise dogs at all times. We have 2 very friendly dogs but if you are afraid of dogs please let us know in advance so we can keep them away from you.
