FOS - The Artist's House - Ithaki

From the house's beautiful veranda, you can relax and enjoy the natural harbour of Vathy, beautifully embraced by numerous hills and lush vegetation while the boats, entering and exiting the bay, casually and serenely sail right in front of you. It is a traditional but recently rennovated house with several artistic details. While many traditional architectural elements have been maintained, living is very comfortable with all modern amenities provided. You will have a most enjoyable stay. Ground floor has 2 bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and laundry. Upstairs there is a spacious, high ceiling, open plan, living dining room with kitchen. The veranda overlooking the bay, has confortable sitting day bed, one more couch and a dining table. Excellent quality, double glazing, doors and windows offer insulation of road noise. There is Wi Fi and Air Conditioning in all rooms. Guests occupy the entire house A welcome basket with local products will be awaitng you. Change of linen and cleaning is done every 3rd or 4th day. The center of Vathy town is only a short walk away. There is a mini market and a coffee shop in very close distance. Beaches though are a bit more far away. Being right on the sea, there are boats anchoring nearby. Watching their effort, can be quite entertaining and a rather encapturing process Altough, it can be possible to get by without a car, provided you are willing to walk quite a lot, a car is highly recommended in order to explore beautiful areas and the island itself. Though the house is on the road, excellent insulation stops all noise.
