Set in the southern Cotswolds on the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire borders, the cottage is peacefully located in the grounds of the owners' home. The property is extremely convenient for the M4 (about 15 minutes away) - therefore ideal for weekend breaks. Externally, the cottage is surrounded by open countryside, a private garden and a tennis court. Internally the barn is modernised to a very high standard with all mod cons throughout creating a home which is sure to please the most demanding of tastes. An excellent choice for those looking to 'get-away' or to tour the southern Cotswolds and Bath region. ACCOMMODATION (there are 5 steps within the property) Entrance through to living room. Living Room, open plan, with two sofas, two armchairs, wood burning stove, TV, WiFi and oak flooring. Kitchen/Diner, fully fitted with electric hob and oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, plus table and chairs for dining. (Washing facilities available in out house) Steps down to: Bathroom (stunning) wet room with large shower, underfloor heating, WC and washbasin Bedroom with King size zip and link beds (please specify if you require them split) with lovely views across the garden towards the tennis court. The village of Brinkworth is located in rural Wiltshire, 5 miles east of Malmesbury and 6 miles west of Junction 16 of the M4; 14 miles south of Cirencester, the ancient capital of the Cotswolds. It is believed that Brinkworth is actually the longest village in England and yet small at the same time with a population of approximately 1300. There is a public house (within walking distance) as well as a church. There are more more shops and services to be found in Malmesbury and Royal Wootton Bassett, both c 4 miles away. Bath is about 25 mins away, while the attractions of the Southern Cotswolds are all within an easy drive - including Cirencester, Tetbury (excellent for antiques) and Stow-on-the -Wold. The village of Brinkworth is located in rural Wiltshire, 5 miles east of the market town of Malmesbury (itself about 6 miles west of Junction 16 of the M4). The village is believed to be the longest 'little village' in England, we're not sure of this feat! There is a pub in Brinkworth, within easy walking distance from the holiday cottage. There is a village shop in the neighbouring village of Great Somerford (3 miles) with more shops and services in Royal Wootton Bassett incl. a large Sainsbury, 5 miles away. Waitrose are in Malmesbury open 7 days/wk A local Farmer's Market comes to the village every Wednesday. The ancient capital of the Cotswolds - Cirencester - is approx 20 mins away where there is an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and attractions making it well worth a visit during your stay. Slightly further afield is Bath which is approximately 25 mins away, while the attractions of the Southern Cotswolds are all within an easy drive - including Cirencester, Tetbury (excellent for antiques) and Malmesbury. lovely walks - play some tennis too! always here to help if needed World famous Cotswolds with fabulous walks, views, pubs and historic towns you will need your own car as public transport is not readily available - few local buses and Great Western Trains from Swindon and Chippenham Tons of Historic sites in the Cotswolds and Georgian City of Bath
