Thatched Cottage set in the heart of a quiet Cornish Village

Trying to keep the character of this 18th century thatched labourers dwelling, Anna's Cottage is tastefully furnished with antique furniture, yet well supplied with modern conveniences including WiFi. Upstairs there is one double room with an antique brass bed, and one single bedroom. A safety gate at the top of the stairs ensures your child's safety. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge. In addition the lounge has a mezzanine sleeping platform (single). So although ideally suited to sleep three, six can be accommodated. The downstairs bathroom features an "L" shaped bath with electric shower and a separate toilet enclosure. The second bathroom with shower, basin and WC can act as an en-suite for those sleeping in the sofa bed and sleeping platform. This bathroom and porch has electric underfloor heating. The small beamed sitting room has a fan electric fire in addition to the night storage heater. This room is ideal as a quiet reading room. There are an assortment of books available, please feel free to swap. The lounge (originally "The Old Carpenters Shop") has a vaulted ceiling with skylight and wood burning stove. Two electric radiators can also prove heat to this room. A 43 inch Smart TV on a hinged wall mounting. An IPAD/iPhone docking station with Bluetooth is available for your music. This room is accessed by its own porch or from the sunroom at the rear of the kitchen, and has a dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with hob, oven, microwave and toaster to heat food. To cool it there is a separate freezer and fridge. The dishwasher will take care of the washing up. An adjoining cuboard houses the washing machine along with the hot water tank, ironing board and clother airer. An extension is at the rear of the kitchen; this is the sunroom with glass roof. The stable door leads to the garden, the outside furniture allows for "Al Fresco" dining. The charcoal Barbecue is available to char the odd sausage or burger. The small garden with a quince tree and various shrubs is fully enclosed allowing your pet and/or children to remain safely within the boundaries. There is exclusive off road parking next to the cottage. With fresh flowers and a welcoming bottle of wine, many visitors return every year where Anna's Cottage is home from home.
