Summary: Immerse yourself in quintessential Colorado character, and bring the whole gang! This 6-BDRM, 4-bath home-away-from-home sleeps up to 16, and with its classic “mountain house” architecture, the theme is complete. Fill your days with adventure (you’ll never run out of things to see and do) and retreat to a welcoming, thoughtfully-appointed space for a recharge. Here, you’ll be in the thick of true Colorado, close to Pikes Peak, the sophisticated offerings of Colorado Springs, and so much more. If you'd like to stay closer to home, check out the shops of Woodland Park or visit the Charis Bible College campus and Andrew Wommack Ministry, just 8 minutes away. The Space: This home is quintessential Colorado with its classic mountain chalet architecture. When you arrive, you’ll be struck immediately by the dramatic, pitched roof, two-story-tall windows, and the upper-level deck that spans the entire front of the house. The home provides two floors of living space with separate exterior entrances. Both floors are connected indoors by a staircase. From outside, the lower level is accessed by a curved pathway leading to the front door. To reach the second level, climb a wide flight of exterior stairs to the broad, inviting deck with two outdoor dining tables. On the upper level, you’ll step from the deck into the living area and be greeted by a stunning two-story cathedral ceiling paneled in knotty wood that seems to speak to the height of the surrounding mountains. An entire wall of windows overlooks the deck and the mountainous scenery beyond. Sink into the L-shaped sofa or one of two chairs positioned around a wide screen TV. The dining table offers seating for six. A glass paneled door leads to a back patio with a grill. The kitchen provides plentiful counter space and cabinetry, plus stainless steel appliances including a large refrigerator, full-size stove, dishwasher and microwave. You’ll appreciate the convenience of a coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven, utensils, spices, and chef’s knives. The kitchen also includes a washer and dryer. The largest of the three upper-level bedrooms sleeps two and features an en suite bath and sliding glass doors leading to the deck, plus a TV. A second upper-level bedroom also sleeps two and features sliding doors to the deck. The third bedroom sleeps two. An additional bathroom provides a wide vanity with two sinks and a shower/tub combo. On the open-concept lower level, a cozy TV viewing area includes an electric piano for entertainment that will draw everyone away from their smartphones. The kitchenette provides ample counter space and cabinets, a table with two chairs, a stove, microwave, double sink, coffee maker, toaster, and cooking utensils. Lower-level sleeping quarters can collectively accommodate up to 11, spanning three separate bedrooms. The first lower-level bedroom includes a full-size bed, plus bunk beds for two. The second bedroom sleeps two. Finally, a large room that’s great for a family includes two sets of bunk beds – one with full beds both up and down, and the other with a full bed on the bottom and a twin up top. Downstairs guests share two well-appointed bathrooms, each with a shower/tub combo, as well as a laundry room with washer and dryer. Hotel-grade linens are professionally laundered after every visit. This home is managed by a local vacation rental specialist, and there’s a sense of quality and care that’s worthy of your 5-star review.
