Bright, Castle Cottage on The Tweed

Neidpath Cottage is beside a spectacular medieval castle, perched above the River Tweed, just minutes from the thriving town of Peebles. It is sunny and charming, with a real log fire and comfortable beds. Perfect for biking at Glentress. The Master Bedroom has a fabulous four poster bed, and and en-suite shower room. There is also a separate family bathroom. Neidpath Cottage, is all on one level, so very easy for children and less mobile people. The bunk-bed room has an extra pull out mattress for a third person. All the main rooms look out over the River Tweed. There is a garden at the front of the cottage, overlooking the river, and a courtyard with table and chairs on the castle side. You are welcome to visit Neidpath Castle next door, which can be arranged during your stay, for a reduced fee. There is always someone available at the end of the phone, to help with queries during your stay. When you book, we send a helpful list of local information. If you decide not to drive, there is a bus from Edinburgh, that stops in the centre of Peebles, just by a taxi rank. It is then a 5 minute car ride to Neidpath. Groceries can be delivered to you by some of the supermarkets. The walk to the centre of Peebles is only 10 minutes, along the beautiful River Tweed, and the nearest pub, The Neidpath Inn, is only 5 minutes walk from the castle gates.
