Imperial War Museum Duxford and Audley End House. 3 acres of landscaped gardens of 16th century timber framed former farmhouse where friendly owners live. Rail for London station 5 miles, Saffron Walden 3 miles The Barn is the ground floor of the converted granary. There is a sitting/dining room and three bedrooms. One large room with twin beds and en suite bathroom,one double bedroom and one bunk room with twin sized bunks. There is a shower room, kitchen and sitting/ dining room. Traditional furnishings to complement this period building and well equipped. If you need anything extra please let us know and we will do our best to meet your need. The flexible accommodation is entirely on the ground floor. Upstairs is purely roof space!. We are usually around as we are retired but if away we will make sure that you have a contact number so that any query can be dealt with swiftly. The Barn is situated about 100 metres from our house and is not overlooked. It has it's own garden and of course you will enjoy the whole 3 acre garden. A car is essential as we are a mile from the main road with no public transport. But Stansted Airport is half an hour away and Audley End railway station about 5 miles with frequent trains to London and Cambridge. Saffron Walden (3 miles) has everything you need and is 3 miles away. The Crown pub in Little Walden (1 mile) serves excellent food and is recommended by our guests. We accept a small well behaved pet(dog) at an additional cost of £20 The code for the wifi is on the bottom of the router.
