Full discount of our fees if COVID situation requires you to cancel. This cottage was our family holiday home, until we moved to the area permanently. The cottage has been tastefully renovated and is extremely well equipped. There is a large attractive enclosed garden. Ideal location. Weekly bookings only. Friday-Friday, though we may be flexible at off peak times. Great location for beautiful countryside, great beaches, the broads, Southwold, Lowestoft, Somerleyton, Norwich, country pubs. Entire house and secure large back garden. There is a locked garage attached to the garden. We live quite close, and a friend in the village is usually available. Lound is a pretty village surrounded by beautiful countryside on the border of Suffolk and Norfolk. Good walking country with plenty of footpaths. Ideal centre for discovering the coast (Hopton, Gorleston, Corton are very close; Southwold, Aldeburgh, Wells and Holkham are all easy day trips). Norfolk broads are very close, with day boat hire available. Good fishing. Norwich half an hour away if you yearn for bright lights and shopping. Bus stop in the village, very close to the cottage. Links to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Train station in next village -Somerleyton with a scenic route across the marshes to Norwich or Lowestoft. Both are infrequent, so a car is really needed. There is a shed in back garden if you want to bring bikes. Great cycling country! The cottage has quite steep stairs. A cot and stair gate are available upon request - please let us know at time if booking. Bedding, bath,hand and kitchen towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. The kitchen is well equipped and should have plenty of essentials such as cleaning fluids, kitchen towel, oils, salt, pepper etc etc. We hate arriving at a rental property and finding empty cupboards, so we don't want that for our guests.
