Spectacular hydrotherapy hot tub (may not be available all year round, please enquire) and indoor gym. Guests enjoy a large gated parking area, beautiful views - watch the woodpeckers feast on the bird feeder and enjoy the tranquility. Superbly appointed private apartment located down idyllic country lane. Built in 2019 and finished to a high standard. We only seek to accommodate guests who have longer stay requirements. Minimum of one week but no maximum so please enquire with your requirements. Also advertised on FB under Hallfields Accommodation so we may take bookings from enquiries there too. THE HOT TUB Guests have use of the hot tub purchased 2020 (5 seater, 2 lounger) heated to 39 degrees. This may not always be available so please ask beforehand if this is important to your stay. The hot tub has 2 powerful pumps and over 90 jets for a complete body hydrotherapy experience. Treated with chemicals (like a swimming pool) and therefore extremely sanitised and safe. Freshly laundered towels and robes are supplied. THE GYM Guests can also use the gym in the garage below and will have priority use of this. We clean thoroughly and equip with sanitiser and alcohol wipes as well as freshly laundered towels and bottled water available in the gym fridge. The Gym is equipped with a spin bike, a concept 2 rowing machine, weight bench and 10kg and 12kg weights, gym ball and punch bag. Yoga mats and smart TV. Download your favourite Yoga or fitness video. THE BEDROOM The bedroom has a large, super soft, king size bed and White Company/Laura Ashley bedding is provided. There is also a tv in the bedroom and a large desk and office chair useful if you need to work. Good internet provided. In the winter months the bed has a dual controlled electric blanket. We provide a hairdryer. THE BATHROOM The bathroom is equipped with a power shower over a double ended bath for a glorious soak. There is an electric towel rail as well as a radiator in the bathroom and we provide luxury, supersoft Egyptian cotton towels. As we are in the countryside, we are not connected to mains sewers and we have a sceptic tank and would therefore request considerate flushing of items down the toilet - no sanitary products, condoms, wet wipes (however much they say they are flushable) or excessive toilet roll please. There are disposable bags and a bin provided. THE KITCHEN Kitchen has integrated cooker and hob, fridge and washing machine. Iron and ironing board, microwave, kettle and 4 slice toaster. Everything you could need. If staying long term we will replace bedding and towels regularly. The oven must be cleaned by guests after use as the cleaning fee does not cover this. We provide initial breakfast cereals, milk, bread, butter and jams. Other breakfast items can be provided on request. We have our own chickens and the ladies provide us with wonderful, delicious, free range eggs daily and you are welcome to have some of these for breakfast. THE LOUNGE In the lounge there is a wonderfully comfortable reclining chair and footstool and a comfortable sofa that is also a sofa bed. A 42” HD TV is positioned on the wall for ease of viewing. Dining table and chairs, positioned in front of the french doors for wonderful views across the Leicestershire countryside. Sit and watch the woodpeckers, Jays and blue tits that regularly visit the garden bird feeders or the pheasants and rabbits that are frequently in the field. ACCESS Key safe available to allow check in if we are not home. CLEANING We employ a professional cleaning company to clean the apartment after each guest stay and they will arrive for midday on the departure days. Your enjoyment here is very important to us so please let us know if there is anything else we can help with. Once you have made your booking if you send me your email address I will send you over the apartment brochure and a list of local eating places and take aways. Bookings are accepted for the people on the original booking only. PARKING Parking for guests is to the right of the garage as you look at it. There is plenty of space for 2-3 cars and you will always be able to come and go from this area of the drive easily. THE GARDEN Guests are free to use the garden if they wish which is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. There are freshly laundered blankets available in the garage for when it may be a little chilly and you want to sit and watch the sun go down on the loungers. There is a rattan outdoor table and chairs which guests are free to use and gives the option of having your meals outside in the warmer weather. We sometimes let the chickens free roam, please let us know if this is an issue for you and we will keep them in their run. Always available by phone, text or email. We live in the adjacent house so always here if you need anything. We provide lots of local information in the apartment to help you know what is in the area that may be of interest. When we last ate here the food was lovely. Booking advisable. It’s easily walkable go to the end of the drive, turn left and go to the end of the road, then left again, and it’s 50 yards on the right. Desford = 2 mile walk – go to the end of the drive and turn right, to the end of the road, right again then walk up to Desford. Once you get into Desford turn right at the Coop then right again at the mini roundabout and you will get to the Bluebell. The BlueBell in Desford Again last time we ate here the food was good and they were busy so booking is advisable. Takeaways Little India in Peckleton about 3 miles away. Go to the end of the drive, turn right, to the end of the road, turn right again then immediately right and go into Peckleton. Little India is at the bottom of a dip on the right. It is a restaurant and takeaway. If wanting a table booking advisable. They also deliver. We have always had a good meal here. Desford Fish Bar in Desford, go into Desford, turn left at the coop, then right, then second left and it is located on St Martin’s Drive It gets very busy so worth calling ahead. Always had nice fish and chips from here. Next to Desford Fish Bar is the Village Balti and Pizza (never tried this place) Restaurants Pesto at the White Horse Desford. This place serves a sort of Italian tapas and we have always had nice meals here. They do get very busy so you have to book. Go to the end of the drive, turn left, to the end of the road, left again, to the traffic lights, left again and it is on the left. Approx 2 miles. A bit posher and a bit further away – all would need booking in advance. Fourwards at Ashfields No 4 High St, Earl Shilton, LE97DG (approx. 3.5 miles away) A wonderful dining experience, we go here for special occasions. Black Horse, Market Sq, Market Bosworth (approx 7 miles away) Stunning food, lovely pub atmosphere, lovely garden you can eat in. Softleys, Market Sq, Market Bosworth Stunning food, lovely intimate restaurant Lots of lovely local, scenic walks. Buses to Hinckley and Leicester close by. local taxi service. Plenty of parking on site. check in from 3pm check out by Midday unless by prior arrangement. guests can access the key safe so flexible check in available. When checking out please post keys in letterbox at the end of the drive. We have a small and now quite elderly dog who is very friendly and will want to say hello.
