A stand-alone, single level contemporary property in a garden setting built in 2016. Located 7 miles north of Derby in a peaceful rural area. Ideal for two people. New for 2019 - large gravel drive area, offering off road parking for multiple vehicles if you and your party are travelling separately. Large enough to accommodate a motor home/ caravan should you require such an option. The cottage comprises of a spacious open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen features a full-size cooker and hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer. It is fully equipped with all the usual kitchen essentials. Please note there is no washing machine/tumble dryer. The lounge area is tastefully decorated and includes seating for four people including a settee that easily converts to a king size bed providing the additional sleeping facility. The room has a flat-screen Freeview TV with separate DVD player and the cottage has the benefit of accessing wifi. The dining area comprises a table and seating for four. A separate double bedroom is located off the lounge and has the benefit of a walk in wardrobe. A large bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and features a double shower cubicle, hand basin and WC with non-slip tiling to the floor. All bedding and towels are provided. However, should you be visiting as a two, but wish to use both beds, an additional cost of £10.00 is payable on site to cover the cost of laundry for the extra bedding. The property is heated throughout with underfloor heating. Being on a single level the property is suitable for wheelchair access via the patio doors. The property has extensive off road parking and given the rural setting, it is advisable that guests have their own transport. From the lounge, patio doors open onto a private paved outdoor seating area. Please note the large garden is accessible for guests pleasure, but new for 2019 there is a secluded grassed area exclusively for guests use, two sun loungers are available given suitable weather! It is a self-contained self-catering property but the owner lives on-site in the adjacent main residence should assistance be required. Set in the middle of a prestigious Derbyshire wedding area, with Morley Hayes, Breadsall Priory, Horsley Lodge and Mappeley Farm minutes away and The West Mill Darley Abbey wedding venue 10mins away, we are an ideal location to host small parties of wedding guests, or in fact if you are the Bride and Groom! An ideal base for a short break, ranging from the majestic Chatsworth House to the stunning beauty of the Peak District, Derbyshire offers a variety of attractions and activities to appeal to all interests. Ideally situated for visits to Alton Towers, the spa town of Matlock Bath and Bakewell the home of the famously named pudding. The attractions of Carsington Water, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall to name but a few are also close by. The cottage is also situated within 2 miles of three excellent 18 hole golf courses – Breadsall Priory, Horsley Lodge and Morley Hayes. As an alternative to the splendid countryside of the Peak District, the property is only 12 miles to the west of Nottingham City Centre providing guests with the opportunity of exploring the historic Robin Hood County of Nottinghamshire and also the theatres, restaurants and designer shops that this major city centre has to offer.
