Glamping Holiday: Bell Tent Jonny Crow

Nestled between the Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald our stylish bell tents enable guests to enjoy the great outdoors with a few added home comforts. Everything’s here for you, ready and waiting! We have 6, 5 metre bell tents on our 2 acre field that are completely furnished for your comfort and delight. Each tent sleeps up to 5 people. Jonny Crow is one of our 6 bell tents. See also bell tent Ronny Gander. All of the tents are decorated in a similar way. Our season runs from mid April- end of September. You can find us on the Springbok Estate in Alfold, a charity run organisation providing housing with support to seafarers in need. We occupy a 2-acre field in front of the main house with the estate’s own campsite in the neighbouring field. Dotted around the field are six 5 metre bell tents, each sleeping up to 5 people. We believe that we have truly taken all the hard work out of camping! Glamping Holiday provides everything you need for a luxury camping experience. Inside each bell tent you will find air beds with all the linen, towels and blankets too. This isn’t without lots of decorative touches….. handmade bunting, lanterns and flowers to name a few. There is a picnic table for alfresco dining outside each tent. Wake up on your first morning and enjoy our complimentary breakfast pack with bacon from a local butcher, eggs, rolls and milk. This is as well as a firepit, perfect for toasting the marshmallows provided under the stars. There is a plentiful supply of logs and firelighters. We have 2 covered kitchen areas on the field (open sided.) Inside the cupboards you will find all the kitchen equipment needed for cooking tasty campfire dishes. There is also one gas BBQ and 2 x two burner gas rings for those meals that need to be prepared a little quicker! You will find ample undercover seating to ensure an enjoyable dining experience in all weathers. If you fancy spending your days relaxing in the field there are games for kids and big kids alike! On site is a portable toilet/shower block. The unit, styled in a shabby chic way with subtle shades of Annie Sloane and Farrow and Ball paint, consists of 2 flushable toilets and 1 electric shower on the ladies side and a flushable toilet and electric shower on the mens side. We have added two more bell tents on the field for the 2019 season and as a result guests are welcome to use the estates campsite toilets as an overflow. There are quaint villages and attractions to explore, spectacular countryside walks straight from the field and a wealth of country pubs within a 5 minute drive or a slightly longer walk! A full list of what we provide is sent out with payment confirmation. However, if you have any particular requirements, please let us know before you arrive. We will then be able to do our best to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. Parking: Guests can park on the glamping field. There is no electricity on site and we do not allow pets. Please read the below regarding pricing: We have a minimum stay of 2 nights. The cost of a tent per night is £120.00 for 2 people. There is an additional charge of £30.00 per person per night for each additional guest up to 5 persons. E.g a 3 man tent for 2 nights is £300.00 and 4 man tent £360.00. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR CHILDREN IN TRAVEL COTS SO PLEASE DON'T ADD THEM AS A GUEST OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE CHARGED. We have no weekend availability remaining for the season. 2 night midweek breaks must commence on a Monday or Wednesday and 3 night breaks on a Monday. Guests can park on the field right outside their tent. We greet all guests on arrival and are there to check them out on their day of departure. There are towns and attractions within easy reach, spectacular countryside to enjoy straight from the field and a wealth of country pubs within a 5 minute drive or a slightly longer walk! Our blog has plenty of ideas for activities during your stay. (URL HIDDEN) We advise guests to come via car. We are very rural and therefore getting around is very difficult without a car. Please note that we are a quiet site. This means that if complaints from campers in the neighbouring field are made then we can ask you to leave. (The estate where my tents are located have their own separate camping business in the neighbouring fields.) This would also mean that the deposit of £150.00 per tent is lost. So think carefully if this is the right site before booking.
