Town Centre Victorian house on a quiet street
Only 1/2 hour away from Cambridge on the train, Bury is a lovely historic town built on a medieval grid. My Victorian house is on a quiet street and in the town centre, and the room has bunk beds so is ideal for young people travelling together. This room is ideal for one person who wants a private and very quiet place to sleep which is still right in the town centre Near to Cambridge and Norwich and daytrips to London easily done (2 hours away). You will get a front door key and a map. I have a little courtyard garden you can sit in. I am only 10 mins walk from train station and 3 mins walk from bus station. If you can find car parking space on my street, I have day-long vouchers to buy at £1 each. Or there is a huge car park next door for £1 overnight, and a smaller one over the road for £3 per day. I often have young guests staying from other countries and they all adore my cute dog, Tuppence. He doesn't moult (he's hypoallergenic) so he won't make you sneeze. Bury is large enough to be interesting and have lots to do and see, but small enough to walk around and not get lost. It is very old and has amazing churches and a cathedral, public gardens and many medieval buildings. There is a bus station and a train station with easy access to other lovely villages nearby like Clare and Lavenham, towns like nearby Newmarket plus major cities like Norwich, Cambridge and Ipswich.
