Averulle Cottage

Averulle is situated in the lovely countryside right in the middle between Ypres and Bruges. It's a very silent rural area where urbanisation hasn't kicked in. Averulle is a totally renovated cottage, situated in a patchwork of fields and meadows with cows, horses, sheep and birds. In short, you are in Flanders Fields. At Averulle we can accommodate 6 people. Cyclists and walkers will have the possibility to stretch their legs and discover the hidden charms of our idyllic countryside. The house has a spacious living room with flat screen TV, DVD player, radio, free wireless Internet, games, comics, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern comforts (dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, icemaker with delicious recipes, poffertjespan, waffle iron, wok) with a starter kit (basic products like coffee, tea, sugar and milk). The bathroom has a washing machine and dryer, and there is also a hairdryer available. There is a separate toilet. For children following facilities are available: 1 children’s cot, high chair, play pen, toilet seat reducer, potty, bicycle seat. Averulle also features a sunny terrace with panoramic views in the enclosed garden with wooden garden furniture, barbecue and swing. Note that smoking is not permitted inside and that pets are not allowed. The complete house is yours to use including the garage, except for the storage room on the right side of the house. Heating is included in the price but during the winter months all heating costs above 10 euro per day will be charged separately. In other words: be smart and don't excessively heat the house when you are out and about elsewhere :). If you use these simple guidelines you should not excess the cost of 10 euro per day (I checked it myself to have an idea of how much one spends per day when not leaving the doors open etc. It worked out perfectly). I'll be present to welcome you and give you a small tour of the house plus instruct you of the safety regulations in place. I'm very familiar with the region and it will be a pleasure to point you out a few things which you won't hear or find that quickly in the touristic info available. It's oh so calm in this part of Flanders, in the middle of the countryside between Ypres and Bruges, plus it's very near the Belgian coast. Parking is very easy on the premise. Public transport to all kind of cities around is available 10 min from here by car, but being on the countryside a car really is advised. If needed we can pick you up from the railway station. - I'm at your disposal for information and tips for interesting destinations nearby, restaurants, cosy coffee bars etc.
