Newly converted stables and idyllic log cabin, set in a peaceful 2-acre garden. Cozy up by the fire pit in the evenings or enjoy a bbq on our large outdoor patio and dining area. Ideal for those who need to get away, reboot, and enjoy the healing of nature. The entire place will be yours, sleeping 6, additionally, we have space for camping. The Retreat is located in the quiet hamlet of Kelsale. Walk or bike around the Suffolk Coast, an AONB, come and experience great local food and drinks. The stables are contemporary with some original and quirky features, beautiful stained glass, and skylights, creating an open and airy feel. With original artwork on the walls, and old books on the shelves for you to flick through, to help you relax and unwind. Both the stables and retreat have comfy double beds with linen sheets, the stables with a single day bed with a truckle bed for larger families. You can drive through the gates and park on the land, then you will be able to wander freely around the grounds. We live in the main house on-site and will be able to help with any local queries, advice or local knowledge you may need. We frequently visit the unique village of Thorpeness built by the Ogilvy family only 8 miles away, where boating on the mere is a must, visit the House in the Clouds and Windmill, too. Beautiful Southwold with a lighthouse, beach huts, and the Famous Adnams brewery is a short car drive away. The Retreat is located in a quiet hamlet. You can walk or bike around the country lanes to organic farm shops, local villages, country pubs, and the Suffolk coast, an AONB. Come and experience all of our great local food and drinks. We are only a 5 min drive to Saxmundham, walkable in 25 mins, which has a Waitrose, train station, pubs, shops, and other essential amenities, including chemists and a doctor's surgery. We are a short drive to world-famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Mindsmere Bird reserve, Thorpeness Mere, and Aldeburgh, all within 20 min.
