We also so have a small friendly dog who would love the occasional walk. Here's a little bit of info In our village Bradwell we have 3 pubs to provide food The Bowling Green Inn, which is with in walking distance yes you would have to book The other pub is the Shoulder of Mutton a little further to walk about 10 mins and 3 mins in the car. You will need to book all these, Bowling Gree (Website hidden by Airbnb) Everyday Shoulder of Mutton Not sure about Sunday If you want something posh Baslow Hall also known as Fischers about 20 mins away michelin star very good. Also Tideswell .. Merchants Yard about 4 miles away last time we went very good. Chatsworth House must book. if you don't go in house, you can pay to go in gardens and plenty of parkland to walk in, though you will have to pay for parking. Haddon Hall, beautiful tudor hunting lodge again you will have to book in advance. Village of Eyam the plague village lol, pretty village, cottages show who died and who survived plague 1665. Church and museum. Cycle hire, Derwent Valley avoid weekend gets busy, three lovely reservoirs can drive round , walk or hire bikes. Monsal trail, old railway so easy walking, also Bike Hire. Bakewell is a favourite with visitors, Market day Monday.# Walking every where, famous walks start Edale or Castleton, but you could a quieter one like the Limestone Way Hope this helps, Helen There are bus running to other villages and Sheffield.
