Crowfoot's Cottage is situated on the Norfolk-Suffolk border, in the beautiful Waveney Valley. Lying in grounds of seven acres including a lake and woodland, it is a haven for wildlife and an ideal base for a relaxing holiday. The oldest parts of Crowfoot's cottage date from the 17th century and have been sympathetically renovated over the last year. Within a short walk of the cottage are a village shop, pub, a restaurant, and Broome Heath which is ideal for dog walking and fishing. Crowfoot's cottage is named after the former owner of the property who set up a local brewery in the adjoining village of Ditchingham. The property has been extensively renovated and now has biomass central heating with underfloor heating downstairs. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, both with their own bath/shower rooms. Bedroom 1 has a super-king bed, bedroom 2 is configured as a twin room and can be changed to a super-king on request. Downstairs has an entrance hall with cloakroom and an open-plan kitchen with induction hob and lounge, with views over the garden and lake. The property benefits from a fully enclosed, private garden with patio seating, BBQ and lawn. Guests also have access to the walled garden of the main house. You will have exclusive access to Crowfoots cottage and its enclosed rear garden, as well as the shared walled garden. There is off-street parking for two vehicles, with more available on request. We live on site so are happy to help if needed Directly opposite the cottages is Broome Heath, a 32 hectare Nature Reserve which is an ideal spot for walking and fishing. Situated around the heath are a village shop, pub and restaurant. Crowfoot's Cottage is just a 15 minute walk from the historic market town of Bungay. Filled with independent local shops, cafes and restaurants as well as attractions such as the Fisher Theatre, Castle and museum there is plenty to tempt you out and about. A little further afield, 15 miles to the north, is the cathedral city of Norwich, with its magnificent Norman castle and medieval streets. To the East are the glorious beaches of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast. There is a bus service to the neighbouring village (6 minutes walk), with regular connections to Norwich and Bungay. The nearest train stations are in Beccles, Diss and Norwich. Norwich International Airport is just under 20 miles to the North.
