La Cidreraie, a pretty self-catering studio
Looking for a quiet, rural retreat where you can escape from your busy everyday life? Our comfortable, self- catering studio forms part of a traditional Normandy and it is an ideal 'get away from it all' base for a weekend or longer. Great for single guests or couples. Situated in a small hamlet with direct access to a quiet, local footpath you are just a few steps away from a pleasant walk with scenic views. To help keep our guest safe we follow an enhanced cleaning routine. La Cidreraie has a pleasant airy, kitchen/lounge area with French windows looking out onto a spacious lawn planted with a variety of fruit trees. It equipped with gas stove, microwave, fridge, kettle, iron and all necessary cooking utensils. There is comfortable seating so that you can relax after a day exploring region. Please note that there is not a television in La Cidreraie. Steeper than average, open tread stairs lead up to the charming, mezzanine bedroom with a double bed which has a pretty, vintage iron bed-frame. There is an en-suite shower and toilet. You can sit outside and enjoy the sun on the sheltered, south-facing patio area and, if you like al fresco cooking, there is a barbeque is available for you to use. A footpath runs past the property making it easy to access the lovely countryside, which is typical of the 'bocage' area of this part of Normandy La Cidreraie is available throughout the year making it convenient if you are planning a short visit or perhaps working in the area for a few days. La Cidreraie is very popular with guests who are house hunting locally, many of whom have been successful in finding their own rural retreat in the area. . There is a Patio area with table and chairs and a lawned garden. I live on site and I am available to help if guests have questions regarding local places of interest, shopping and recreational activities. The farmhouse is tucked away in the Normandy countryside yet is only 5 minutes drive from local amenities. There are pleasant walks along ancient pathways and local lanes making this a great base for walkers or cyclists. Guests do need their own transport as we are situated in a rural location. We are 1 km from the village of Saint Quentin les Chardonnets, which is 2km from the main D294 road linking Vire and Flers. We are 6km from the small town of Tinchebray where local services shops, banks, fuel etc. are available There is a regular train service between Paris, Vire and Granville. WI-FI : There is not a television in this accommodation but free WI-FI is available. ACCESSIBILITY: The stairs in the accommodation are steeper than average and are not suitable for guests with impaired mobility PETS: Please contact me prior to bringing a pet as is mentioned in the House Rules ELECTRICITY: 8kw/day is included in the tariff. Excess electricity used is charged at a rate of 0.18 Euros / kw used. HEATING is electric so please bear in mind that there may be an additional cost to you during winter months. BREAKFAST can be provided but please give 1 days notice. The cost is 7€/pp CLEANING: Guests are kindly asked to leave the gite clean and tidy at the end of their stay. A cleaning service is available if required. The cost for this service is 40 Euros TELEVISION is not provided
