The Garden Room is under new management

This is now The Kites Rest with Alice With large bifold doors opening onto decking and small lawn. Set in a beautiful market town, with easy commuting of Oxford, Thame, Reading, London and Chiltern Hills. Off-street parking and completely separate from the main house with it's own private entrance from a shared outside space. Watlington has a directory of 'what's where' for our guests which you'll find in the attached photo's and in your apartment. To all our lovely guests who have shared their lives and stayed with us since 2015 we have moved away! This accommodation is no longer available for rental with Robin and Catherine. The listing is being gradually updated/snoozed and you can find us in St Davids, Pembrokeshire. The space offers comfortable relaxing with a fashionable efficient wood burner for a special evening feel and transforms a cold/wet day. We can accommodate up to two young children if required, please ask how we can help. With a large open space dining, sleeping and relaxing with a film, the wet room and small L shaped kitchen are all you need. Constant hot water and underfloor heating mean you're never cold. With comforts from open plan design for simple living even in a place this size. Come for an overnight business stay, a long weekend to a week stay for walkers on The Ridgeway/Icknield Way, the space provides enough we hope to meet your needs. All you have to do is prior to booking let us know any further queries and any needs which we aim to meet where we can. Off-road parking for guests use. Please let us know the time of arrival. The Watlington Guide Directory lists everything here in the beautiful brick and flint town from a fresh bakery on a Saturday, the Granary Deli, three pubs, a butcher, local store, fish and chip shop etc. We can recommend local places to eat within walking distance or a short drive away as well as places of interest, travel options and beautiful walks in the Chilterns. If you are cyclists we can provide space to lock your bikes in and keep them dry for the night. There is a wonderful little Spa and beautician here as well as a surgery, dentists and two hairdressers. Watlington offers a number of key conveniences from a Pharmacy to the local pub, The Fat Fox. There's a butcher and hairdresser, a chocolate shop and fresh fruit and vegetable market three times a week, a deli and even a weekly fish seller! All within walking distance. With the Chiltern Hill walks just minutes from the small market town and the river Thames with Henley and Marlow near by. Oxford is only a hop onto the M40. M40 Junction 6 is just 10 minutes away to get to Hillingdon over ground tube station to pick up the London Tube network. The M4 can be reached via Henley-on-Thames and the link from High Wycombe. You can also pick up the Oxford-London Tube Coach service at Junction 6 which runs every 10 minutes. There is a limited bus service within Watlington to the surrounding areas. There are many local taxi firms from Henley and High Wycombe. We can accommodate one to two small children at a small cost if you would like to discuss this with us prior to booking. We have cats in our house and three dogs. The dogs are firmly managed and with us at all times, kennelled at night. The cat may trot across and poke her nose round to say hello. If you have any animal or food allergies please let us know on your booking. Our pets do not have access to The Garden Room. We have a few hens so do let us know if you would like fresh eggs! If you would like a cooked breakfast please speak to me otherwise the small kitchen can cater for your own breakfast. We leave a large and varied continental breakfast and provide a well-stocked small fridge of juice, drinks, jams and spreads. Again tell us what you'd really like to have. We are Coeliac and Gluten-Free Friendly and I can provide homemade GF bread and Cake if requested in advance. The local butchers provide GF sausages and the local store has a small range of GF items. Washing and ironing can be provided for you, especially long stay guests. Charges are left in The Garden Room for this service.
