The Lodge is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom self contained cosy modern annexe located in a beautiful rural Hertfordshire setting only 1 mile walking distance to Roydon village and train station with fast links to London Underground (15mins) and Stansted Airport (30mins). There are numerous country walks just a few steps from the lodge, one of which leads to the River Stort (15min walk) from where you can carry on exploring miles of river walkways. The Lodge is a purpose built dwelling situated within our family home gardens, yet very private, secure and tranquil. The Lodge has 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 persons, however a z-bed can be provided for an extra person at £25/night, please request when making your booking. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, both have modern massage showers, sink and toilet, one also has a bath. The lounge/kitchen is open plan. The utility room has two washing machines. Guests also have full and exclusive use of the decking area wrapping around the property, including table and chairs as shown in the photos. Key-lock self access is available. Whilst we like to give guests their own space and privacy, we are always available by airbnb app messaging, phone, sms, whatsap or email should there be any questions, help or advice needed. Roydon village has three county pubs, a marina, convenience store and pharmacy. A car is required. Stanstead Abbotts, Ware and Harlow are all within easy driving distance. Parking is available for a maximum of 2 cars. Parking is located on the main house driveway behind gates. Guests also have full and exclusive use of the decking area wrapping around the property, including table and chairs as shown in the photos.
