A recently refurbished, cosy space with all mod cons. We have created this space so guests can enjoy the views and relaxation. Set in the middle of the Peak District hills close to two lovely Derbyshire villages. This part of the Peak District has lots to offer. Public footpaths outside your door to take opportunity of parking your car and using your feet. Walking distance to pubs. The space is a converted barn, with an upside down layout to maximise the space and views. Situated on our small holding farm, with a sheep farm as your immediate neighbours - plenty of sheep to count if you struggle sleeping, which you won’t on our comfortable beds. There is a king size bed in both rooms with feather duvets, one king can be split into two single beds if required to give flexibilty to our guests. The bathroom has a spacious walk in shower. A bath sheet and hand towel will be provided per guest. The open plan upstairs area has a fully fitted kitchen with full size fridge freezer, integrated cooker and microwave and induction hob. We have installed a dishwasher to ensure you don’t spend time washing pots during your stay. We will provide tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, dish cloths, dishwasher tablets for your stay. You will be welcomed with some basics to get you going - milk, biscuits. If you wish to preorder a supermarket shop, we would be happy to receive for you if we arrange a date/time. If you prefer a more local and fresh shop, we can provide details of local veg box deliveries. There is a washer dryer on the ground floor if you wish to complete your laundry and there will be cleaning supplies for your use for longer stays. The property has underfloor heating in all rooms which is powered by an air source heat pump and solar. Wi-Fi access and good mobile phone signal on all networks. The barn is self contained within our small holding where we keep horses and alpacas and our two friendly cocker spaniels. You will be able to park in front of your property and even plug in your electric vehicle to charge. There is an open patio at the front of the barn so you can admire the beautiful views with your morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening as when the sun shines it will be there all day as south facing. There is an enclosed patio at the rear of the property where you gain access to the barn with a covered porch which will protect you from the weather, and let you take off muddy boots ( and wipe muddy paws). The porch has a picture window where you can leave the stable barn door open to admire the woods at the rear of the property. The rear patio will have a hot tub for your use and an outside eating area, with bamboo and pot plants. For any mountain bikers who wish to wash bikes, we can provide a hose pipe for your outside tap in the rear patio. We live in the farm house next door and will be available to give guidance on the local area and things to do, if needed. We would like to meet you when you arrive and show you round the property and ensure you know how everything works so you can fully enjoy all the barn has to offer. We will also give you a tour of our farm if you wish and show you want areas you can enjoy as part of your stay. You will have our mobile numbers provided to ensure you can contact us at any time. The towns of Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith are close by where you will find major supermarkets and small independent retailers, alongside various eateries. Buxton is twenty minutes drive or a bus ride away with lots to offer. Castleton is fifteen minutes drive away which is a popular Derbyshire hotspot. We are fortunate to be in a central area which offers access to many beautiful areas for visiting and fantastic walking and biking terrain. Two public footpaths cross our property if you want to leave the car locked up and just walk. You can see Chapel-en-le-Frith golf club from our property if you fancied a round of golf. Combs reservoir and sailing club is also very close by and we can see the boats when the club is out sailing. For those who would like to bring a horse on holiday, there is a stable that could be used and parking for a horse box - this would have to be arranged in advance. The 199 skyline bus from Buxton to Manchester airport passes the bottom of the lane every half an hour. Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith train stations are a five minute drive away on the Manchester to Buxton line. Chinley train station is ten minutes away which is on the Sheffield to Manchester line. We can offer an alpaca experience for an extra charge as part of your stay and walk our friendly boys around the farm.
