Kell House is a recently refurbished Victorian property set within its own grounds just above the award-winning High Street of Pateley Bridge, with its famous butchers, specialist food shops, cafes and tea shops, local craft workshops, and so much more. We are ideally placed for walks such as The Nidderdale Way and the 6 Dales Way, cycling including the Way of the Roses, and exploring some of our famous local attractions like Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Stump Cross Caverns. We have three beautiful bedrooms for you to choose from, which have been carefully designed to include their original Victorian features with modern touches to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The Wharfedale room is located on the second floor of Kell House, with a king size bed and a luxury en-suite shower room, and has far reaching views over to Coldstones Cut and Two Stoops. There is also an adjoining room offering the option of a king size bed or two single beds for a party of three or four, sharing the en-suite. Contact us directly to book this additional room. Breakfast is not included in the cost. We offer an optional full Yorkshire breakfast with locally sourced ingredients for £12.50 per person which you can order with us in advance or on arrival. Your stay includes the use of our drying room for your coats and boots, a guest dining area, ample parking and secure bike storage during your stay. An iron and ironing board is available on request. Finding us: Our driveway can sometimes be difficult to find using a sat-nav, so for accurate directions to Kell House please see below: Kell House, Ripon Road, Pateley Bridge, HG3 5NJ ‘what3words’ are yesterday.shoelaces.harmonica Approaching Pateley Bridge from Harrogate, Knaresborough or Ripon on the Ripon Road/B6265; when coming down the hill you enter the 30mph speed limit, as you pass the sign for Harefield Hall on your left you will see a sign for Kell House on your right; our drive is the next on the right and there is a smaller sign just by it. The drive is quite narrow and steep; follow it round to the right and you will see Kell (Email hidden by Airbnb) e up to the house for unloading and then parking is available just below the garage. Approaching from Skipton, Grassington direction and Pateley Bridge town centre; continue to the top of the high street and follow the road round to the right. Continue for about 500 metres and as the road bears round to the left with a high wall on the right hand-side our driveway is on the left. There is a small sign at road level just before the entrance, which is quite narrow and steep. Just follow the drive round to the right and you will see Kell House at the top of the drive. If you miss the entrance there is a larger sign on the left-hand side and you can turn in the layby opposite. Come up to the house for unloading and then parking is available just below the garage. Some suggestions are below: The Crown Inn, 19 High Street: 5 minute walk with good food and real al (Website hidden by Airbnb) Olly’s Pizzeria, Bridgehouse Gate: 10 minute walk with good quality Italian food and takeaway The Willow Café, 10 Park Road: 5 minute walk with good quality lunches, afternoon teas and evening meals Sweetheart Tearooms, 35-37 High Street: 5 minute walk to a quirky café with art The Pancake House, 1B High Street: 5 minute walk with freshly made pancakes and great quality ice cream to takeaway The Sportsman’s Arms, Wath: 1.5 mile walk along the river to an old county inn with outdoor seating, good food and real ale Takeaways – all 5-10 mins walk Pateley Pizza – very good pizza, highly recommended High Street Fisheries – good quality fish and chips cooked to order Olly’s Italian – also have an extensive takeaway menu including pizza, pasta & desserts Bengal Cuisine – Indian takeaway Chinese takeaway – opening soon We have ample off-road parking. We have safe bike storage. We ask for you to arrive from 4pm-7pm, and check out is by 10am. We try to be as flexible as possible, so if you do need to arrive outside of these times, we will do our best to accommodate this if you let us know in advance. Regrettably we do not accept children under 14. Breakfast is not included in the cost.
