Barn style, open plan, cosy cottage off the main road in Brancaster. Large garden with enclosed area ideal for dogs and children. Up to two well behaved dogs allowed. Large patio area. Parking for 2/3 cars. Very close to children's play park, tennis court, village hall and shop. Short walk to The Ship pub. 1 mile, easy walk along footpath to the beautiful Brancaster beach. Excellent bus service to Brancaster Staithe, Thornham, Burnham Market, Holkham and Wells and their fantastic pubs. Please observe government guidelines on the number of people from your household who can be indoors together. Thistlewood Cottage is in a great location to easily access Brancaster beach on foot (approx. 1 mile walk). The Coastal Path is nearby for easy walks to superb pubs or, for trips further afield, the Coastal Hopper bus stop is very close by to get you to Burnham Market, Holkham, Wells and more. Thistlewood is comfortable and homely with open plan living spaces and a log burner/fire for the cooler months. In Summer, the large patio has an 8 seater dining set and the garden has a lovely, large fenced area (secure for most dogs but please check before leaving them unattended). The two downstairs bedrooms share an en suite bathroom which means guests who don't like stairs or families who want to be close to children are ideally suited. Guests may use all areas of the house. I am available by phone and will arrange local help as needed. Brancaster is a coastal village with a pub (The Ship Inn) serving excellent food, Village Hall with Social Club, bar and shop, tennis courts to hire, large children's playground, several bus stops for the Coastal Hopper and easy access to Brancaster Beach and the coastal path. Brancaster neighbours the village of Titchwell with it's bird sanctuary and Brancaster Staithe with it's harbour, fishmonger/deli and pubs (The Jolly Sailor's and The White Horse). A few miles away you will find Thornham with several excellent pubs/restaurants, beach, harbour, deli, shops and the unsurpassable Eric's Fish and Chips. Burnham Deepdale has a small supermarket selling local foods and ales, Fatface clothing, Philippa Lee Pottery and gifts, Deepdale café and other shops. The Coastal Hopper bus stop is a short walk from Thistlewood Cottage taking you West to Thornham and Hunstanton and East to Burnham Market, Wells and Holkham. There is parking at The Village Hall. There is limited parking along the road to the beach but there is a large car park at the beach. Please note that the car park at the beach is subject to tidal flooding on a daily basis subject to tide levels. Please check before setting off to ensure that you can get to and from the beach in your timescales without getting caught out by high tides. Maximum of two dogs by prior arrangement. Dogs must be up to date with all worming, flea and vaccinations. Guests must be super-vigilant to ensure dogs do not enter bedrooms, sit on furniture, leave puddles in the house and that all poo is cleared from the garden before the end of their stay.
