The Robins Cowclose Barn, Cutthorpe,(Pk District)
The Robins cottage is close to Chatsworth House and The Peak District. You’ll love the beautiful countryside, and the village pubs. It's great for couples, small families and dogs £). There is space for a travel cot or guestbed. These are available free of charge if you bring your own bedding. There is a charge of £15 for bedding/towels for these extra beds. The Robins cottage is part of Cowclose Barn, an old stone building comprising 2 cottages, and converted by us about 2008. It has modern amenities but retains many old features. It is used as a holiday home. Downstairs there is a lounge/diner, kitchen and large bathroom (bath and shower). Upstairs is one large bedroom with a comfortable kingsize bed and space for additional child bed or cot(£). Travel cot, high chair and baby bath available free of charge. It's a cosy place with double glazing and gas central heating. There is a large shared garden with a patio, and a play area for young children. Dogs are welcome (£20 per stay one dog - cash on arrival appeciated Two dogs £25. Wifi access is slow but free. (We are at the end of the phone line and have thick stone walls - sorry!) WE HAVE A FOLDER OF WALKS FROM THE DOOR, TESTED BY US. ALSO DOGS WELCOME FOLDER Guests have access to all areas of our large garden and orchard, including the use of our Pod. Our house is on the same site and we are usually available and willing to give help and information. You will be surrounded by beautiful countryside. We are on the eastern edge of the amazing Peak District. There are many stately homes, pretty villages, fantastic walks. We are about a 15 minute drive from Chatsworth House. There are many local walks, notably in the Linacre Valley. We have several local pubs serving excellent food, local beers and welcoming dogs. Our nearest town is Chesterfield (famous for its Crooked Spire). Chesterfield has an indoor and outdoor market and 2 theatres. Sheffield is about a 30 minute drive (shopping, museums, theatres). There is plenty of local information and maps in the cottage, including a Dogs Welcome Folder with suggestions for pubs, walks etc. We can provide secure storage for your bikes. A car is highly desirable. Our nearest rail station is Chesterfield (5 miles) and airports East Midlands, Birmingham or Manchester. Guests are welcome to use my utility room for their laundry - or I will do it.
